Or read a book aloud to a child?

Now is the time! Today is the last day for registering a child to read with us on International Gator Day 🐊📖

Do you have a child? Do you know a neighbor with children, family members, or friends from church? Invite them, send them a text, to read with us and promote literacy in OUR Community.

“Students who are not reading at proficient levels by the end of third grade are more likely to struggle throughout their school years, which in turn leads to higher dropout rates and fewer students being college and career ready. “

Register to attend our free literacy event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Police Athletic League of Jacksonville​, 2165 W. 33rd street, Jacksonville, FL 32209. Join us for free food, fun, and books!
