FRIENDS OF OURS FRIDAY: Let us introduce you to Team A.Maise!

When a child is admitted to the hospital, families are often left unprepared for the sudden changes that occur in their daily lives and routines.

Team A.Maise programs aim to reduce the stress that comes with those changes by offering items that provide comfort and encourage self-care. They offer several programs benefiting families at Wolfson Children's Hospital and UF Health Pediatrics in Jacksonville, Florida. These include the Comfort Cart, Snack Cart & Coffee Bar Program, and NICU/PICU Clothing Pantry.

Team A.Maise, Inc. is a 501(c)3, veteran founded, nonprofit organization working to bring the gift of hope and comfort to families and children as they walk through some of life’s darkest valleys. Team A.Maise believes that with simple acts of kindness and love, the light of hope will shine through to help the families feel renewed and encouraged.

Come volunteer with us! Mark's Mission needs your help to create beautiful Care Packages for families in the NICU. You are invited to join us on Thursday, April 18th, from 4 pm to 5 pm at The Playful Family, Inc. to volunteer with us. Children are welcome to join in on the experience. The indoor playground will be open for play! Parent/ Legal Guardian supervision and socks are required if the child intends to play in the indoor playground.

FRIENDS OF OURS FRIDAY! Mark's Mission loves working with local and national nonprofit organizations. Although we are small- we are mighty and there is strength in numbers. This week, we would like to introduce you to our friends at Malachi’s Miracle Foundation, Inc..

Malachi’s Miracle Foundation, Inc. was started by the Radacz family after the loss of their infant son Malachi Joseph Radacz. Malachi was diagnosed with multicystic dysplastic kidney (MCDK) during the 18th week of pregnancy in 2019. His mother, Hannah, spent countless hours researching and reaching out to all of the multi-disciplinary teams that would need to be involved in their care. Hannah went to great lengths to find the best possible specialists that her son would need as well as scheduled prenatal meetings with many of them. Despite having 10 years of experience in the medical field and a career in NICU nursing, she found this to be extremely challenging and stressful.

Their mission is to empower and support families that are impacted by kidney disease during pregnancy or infancy.
