EPIC Outreach (EPIC) is a nonprofit 501c3 that was founded in 2015 to inspire kindness and compassion through rescuing animals while providing humane education outreach to children and adults. The mission is to create a kinder and more compassionate world for people, animals, and the planet �. In 2019 EPIC created an education farm sanctuary where rescued horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, chickens, pig

s, a bunny, and guinea pigs find safety and love. Most stay to live in permanent sanctuary while being education ambassadors telling their stories of rescue through visits in schools or tours at the sanctuary. Through their stories they inspire kindness.

🛻🐎We took a ride today to go meet an Off The Track Thoroughbred named NELSON. He is with a rescue group called New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program that takes racehorses right from the track when they are no longer racing and helps them find a new path to a bright and safe future. NELSON is a part of their Pasture Potato Program because he is unrideable due to health issues and is looking for a home where he can just be a horse. His health issues are manageable and he is pasture sound, just no riding.

🐴💗He is a big guy at 17.1 hands, but is a super gentle and sweet giant of a horse. We are considering taking him in to be an ambassador for kindness at EPIC Outreach. But he is a big commitment at 7 years young. He does require a lot of food, but we are familiar with that. We have a lot to think about as we consider taking him in.

The organization he is with now is his best advocate and they have been seeking a home for him for over a year. NELSON like so many other horses, dogs, cats, bunnies all just want a home of their own. You could tell looking into his eyes that he just wants a pasture where he can feel safe and loved.

Its been a nice lazy SHELTER DOG SUNDAY morning. And we wonder why, why have we had little interest in SPARKY? He has been playing, going out to potty and now relaxing on the bed with us as we all chill today. He is a great dog, perfect size, quick learner. SPARKY wants a home of his own. We know a home exists for this sweet boy.

🐴💗🐴TAZ and KODY standing beside one of the original signs from 2019, when the farm sanctuary was just beginning. We had just received our very first grant. We were building fences, making signs, dreaming big and honestly had no idea what EPIC would become.

The whole future was still ahead of us.
Hundreds of animals. Thousands of people. So many hellos, some heartbreaking goodbyes, lessons learned, lives changed and memories made. And these two? They're still here.

There is something about seeing them standing beside that old sign that takes us right back to the beginning.

❤️Sometimes we're so busy looking ahead, we forget to turn around and see how incredibly far we've come. Oh, what we would say..........just keep going, you have no idea what's coming, you hVe no idea how many lives will be changed over the next 7 yeats!

🎯Here is some crazy news, August has been our biggest request for animals in need so far this year and the requests are double what we have received in one single month, DOUBLE!!!! 52 requests in August which is crazy high for us. We are one tiny (but mighty) rescue out there helping animals like DUDLEY and PEANUT. And we simply can't help all the animals, but we do what we can with the resources we have.

One thing that stops us from helping more animals is space. If we don't get animals adopted we can't take more animals in. DUDLEY, PEANUT, and WIGGLES have been searching and waiting for a forever family and once they find a home it opens space for the next animal in need.

💗🐽These pigs are ready to venture out with a new family of their own. They are neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped. All three piglets are boys and around 4 months of age. If you have been looking to add a pig to your home please consider adopting. Message us to learn more, we would love to share more and tell you all about these sweet piggies.

💗🥕We wanted to share a few updates. Over thr last weekend we had volunteers working in the garden prepping new raised beds for some fall planting. The garden is an essential part of EPIC Outreach It helps to grow food, invite butterflies and bees to pollinate and offers a space for people to connect to the earth. We always need help in the garden.

🙋🏾🙋🏼‍♀️We also had volunteers spending time with the animals like walking INDIE for exercise. We would love more volunteers to help around the farm and during special events. 🐝Also, sadly a few of the bee boxes that have called EPIC home for a very long time have left. We are going to miss the bees, but welcome any new beekeepers who are seeking a home for their bees. The farm is a compassionate space with lots of foliage around for the bees to forage. Please reach out if you have bees that need a new home.

🐽💗Who remembers baby BINGO the piglst found on the beach and was taken to Black Creek Veterinary Hospital eith a high fever? Well he has been spending the past few weeks at Mandarin Oaks Elementary School with Ana MacReynolds kindergarten class getting loved on. Ana is a big teacher of compassion in her classrooms and what a great way to illustrate that then through helping an animal in need.

BINGO is a lucky boy. He has an approved adopter and yesterday he got to meet his new mom after volunteer Laurel Ley transported him back to the vet where he will get fully vetted today. He is going to be neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped and then his new mom will pick him up to begin his new life with her and his soon to be piggy brother.

We often say it takes a village to help animals in need, and BINGO's story is a perfect example. He has quite the story from almost dieing at the beach to finding a forever home. And his impact to inspiring compassion and kindness in little hearts inside a classroom makes his journey even more special.

Its MAGICAL MONDAY BARNSIDE CHAT! Look at WILLIE WONKA. To think a year ago he was living in a space smaller for him to turn around full of mud and mire and today he eats the best food and can move in freedom and love. Cheers to your loving support, you make his life worth it.

💗One of the sweetest photos of all! Little INDIE enjoyed some grass time with the volunteers. He is allowed to have restricted exercise that is controlled by walking on a lead line. No running for this boy for 30 days. Please keep sending him healing vibes for a speedy recovery from his recent double stifle surgery.
