Saturday, the Florida Civil Rights Museum, Inc. joined family members, elected officials, community leaders, and friends in Evinston, Florida outside of Gainesville, as we unveiled our Senator Geraldine F. Thompson Florida Civil Rights and Education Heritage Trail Historical Marker in honor of the late Lloyd W. Johnson, Sr. The ceremony also included the Alachua County Commission, who renamed SE 185th Avenue in Johnson's honor.
