Every class is a chance to feed a child’s confidence and help them grow.
Twice a month,we partner with New Town Success Zone at the Impact Kids Discovery Club to provide nutrition education, life skills training, and mentoring for youth.
This class, our students wanted to make turkey burgers! 🍔 They learned how to measure and portion seasonings, then enjoyed their burgers with fresh watermelon. 🍉 Seeing their excitement as they prepared a meal together reminds us why we do this work.
Along with cooking, each class gives us time to listen, encourage, and remind our students that their voices and dreams matter. We want them to leave with new skills and the confidence to say, “I can do this!”

We had an amazing time at Brentwood Lakes Apartments!
Even with the rain coming down, we showed up to provide food assistance to children, seniors, and families. 🌧️❤️ Rain or shine, we’re here to serve our community!
Sharing food, connecting with residents, and showing love is at the heart of what we do. Every family deserves access to food and a community that cares. 🍎🥬

No family should have to face an empty table alone!
Today, Tamika’s School of Epicure is holding a community food distribution at 1660-1 Lane Ave. S., Jacksonville, FL, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
We’ll be here until all the food is gone.
We provide four community food distributions each week,because showing up for our neighbors matters. Whether you’re a senior, a parent caring for your family, or a young person who needs support, you are welcome here.
Come receive food, share a conversation, and fellowship with us. We would be honored to serve you.

What a truly blessed day at Valencia Way Apartments!
During our community food giveaway, we had the honor of providing one community member with a brand-new pillow-top mattress donated by Costco Wholesale, West Jacksonville Warehouse #1294 on Parramore Road.
The community received fresh food, essential items, and plenty of love. Moments like these remind us that serving our community is about more than providing food it is about bringing hope, comfort, and support to families when they need it most.
We are truly grateful to Costco and everyone who helped make this community giveaway a success. Together, we are feeding families, teaching futures, and making a meaningful difference one family at a time!

Our Kennedy Center cooking class was extra special this week because our parents and caregivers joined us in the kitchen!
Families had the opportunity to cook side by side, laugh, learn, and create something delicious together. On the menu was Vegetable Chicken stir-fry, and everyone worked together to cut and prepare their fresh vegetables and protein while practicing kitchen safety and teamwork.
What made this class so meaningful was watching both our students and their parents feel empowered in the kitchen. The children were proud to show what they’ve been learning, while parents and caregivers were able to encourage them, learn alongside them, and share in the experience.
Cooking together as a family is about so much more than preparing a meal. It creates opportunities for conversation, builds stronger relationships, teaches responsibility, encourages healthier food choices, and creates memories that children can carry with them for years to come.
There was happiness, teamwork, confidence, and togetherness all around the kitchen, and that is exactly what we want our families to experience.
We are not only teaching our youth how to we are helping bring families together, one meal at a time.

🥗 Our first culinary class at the Center Of Hope at Kennedy Center was AMAZING!💚
Our students came ready to learn, cook, and have fun!
They prepared a delicious Grilled Chicken Salad loaded with fresh veggies and even created their own Lemon Vinaigrette Apple Dressing from scratch to top it off! 🍋🍎🥬🍅🥕🍗
During our Mentoring Session, we talked about
“Making Good Choices” and how the decisions we make today can help shape our future. 💭 We couldn’t let our students leave empty-handed! Each student went home with fresh fruits, vegetables, and a special gift to enjoy at home.
We are loving the energy at the Kennedy Center, and we’re just getting started! 💚

THE EASTSIDE COMMUNITY SHOWED UP & SHOWED OUT!
What an amazing turnout for our Community Food Distribution at the Center of Hope at the Kennedy Center!
The Eastside community came out strong, and Tamika’s School of Epicure was blessed to provide families with fresh vegetables, dairy products, protein, clothing, and other much-needed resources.
And we didn’t stop at just giving out food! 💚
Our CEO conducted a live cooking demonstration, educating families on the importance of eating their veggies while showing them simple, affordable, and delicious ways to prepare vegetables at home. We believe it’s not only about providing food it’s about educating and empowering families to make healthier choices.
A special THANK YOU to Jimmy Peluso for coming out and supporting the Eastside community! We appreciate leaders who are truly boots on the ground, showing up, connecting with residents, and supporting the work happening right in their district. 👏🏾💜
