The Villages of Hope

Generosity is the whole engine here. And speaking of engine, Villages of Hope needs a passenger vehicle. Our women need rides to work, to therapy, to court, to the grocery store, to their kids, to every single appointment that is rebuilding their lives. And as fun as a bike ride looks, it isn’t ideal.

Here are two ways you can help make this happen:
Donate cash toward a vehicle. Any amount moves the needle.
Donate a passenger vehicle in good condition straight to VOH.

Why did we run? Because freedom is a long road, and the women we serve walk it every day. The Run for Hope is our way of walking it with them, together, as a community. Thank you for joining us at the starting line, we can’t wait to see you again next year.

People picture the front lines of this work as the houses, the move-in days, the first paychecks. A lot of it is a board around a table, deciding how to make all of that possible for the women who need us most.

This race isn’t only for the warriors and princesses. This race is for the casual joggers, the slightly competitive ones, the people who run twice a year on principle, the parents bringing their kids (the 10-and-under age group is real), the people who heard there are medals and decided that was reason enough, the Villages of Hope supporters since day one, and the folks learning about us today.

The 6th annual Run for Hope 5K is on for Saturday, June 6 at 8am along the Southbank Riverwalk in San Marco. One mile fun run at 9. Every dollar raised funds our two-year rent-free sanctuary program with wraparound services for women across Northeast Florida walking out of sexual exploitation and substance abuse.

We have officially outgrown our current ride, and yes, we are dressed as cars to get your attention. Is it working? Cool.

A 5K on the Southbank Riverwalk is hard to beat.

The 6th annual Run for Hope is happening Saturday, June 6 at 8am from Kings Avenue Station in San Marco. One mile fun run at 9. Shirts to every registrant. Medals to every finisher. A morning that feels good to be in.
