Every Thursday morning is a great one at the Rotary Club of Bartram Trail–Julington Creek, and last week was no exception!

We were honored to welcome District 6970 Governor Bo Norton, who gave us a deeper look at what’s happening across Rotary International and how we can support those initiatives right here at the local club level.

We also got to celebrate four of our own! Congratulations to Mitch Ross, Dan Griffin, Jose Gavarrette, and Charlie Douglas on reaching their next levels of Paul Harris Fellow recognition. Thank you for your continued generosity and commitment to Rotary and !

And this Thursday gives us another great reason to gather! We’re excited to welcome Tiffany Guthrie, Vice President of Programs, who will share more about Junior Achievement of North Florida and the work they’re doing to support and prepare young people in our community.

The future of leadership starts with investing in young people.

Join the Rotary Club of Bartram Trail–Julington Creek tomorrow morning as we welcome Ella and Saanvi from the Creekside High School Interact Club. This summer, they represented our club at Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), an immersive leadership program that helps students develop confidence, strengthen communication skills, build lasting friendships, and discover what it means to lead through service.

Come hear firsthand about their experience, what they learned, and how RYLA has impacted their lives.

No Rotary meeting this week, and that's by design.

The Rotary Club of Bartram Trail–Julington Creek meets the first three Thursdays of each month, leaving the 4th (and sometimes 5th) week for what Rotary is all about: Service Above Self.

The graphic is a snapshot from a CreekLine article, written by our member, the incomparable Al Kalter, featuring one of our regular projects—partnering with the Creekside High School Interact Club to help keep our local roadways beautiful. It's a great example of what can happen when a community comes together to serve.

How will you make a difference this week?

If you'd like to serve alongside us, we'd love to have you! This weekend we'll be volunteering with the St. Johns County Homeless Coalition, where one of our Rotary members is leading the rehabilitation of two buildings to support neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Drop a 🙋 in the comments or send us a message if you'd like to join us this weekend or at an upcoming service project!

🇺🇸 Join us this Thursday as we welcome Ryan Bauman from First Coast Honor Flight!

First Coast Honor Flight is a nonprofit dedicated to honoring our local World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam Veterans by providing them with an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in recognition of their service and sacrifice.

Their mission is simple but powerful: It's all about the veterans. Through these journeys, they express gratitude to the men and women whose courage and dedication helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.

We look forward to learning more about this incredible organization and the impact they're making in our community.

What a memorable week for the Rotary Club of Bartram Trail–Julington Creek! 💙💛

We officially closed one Rotary year and welcomed another during our Pass the Gavel celebration. Thank you, Mitch, for a year of dedicated leadership and service. We look forward to the year ahead under President Ray’s leadership!

We were honored to have incoming District Governor Bo Norton join Mitch in recognizing several outstanding Rotarians. Congratulations to Dean and Lesa on achieving Major Donor Level 2 and to Zeke and Molly on achieving Major Donor Level 1. In a beautiful act, Dean and Lesa gifted their Major Donor Level 1 recognition to Zeke and Molly.

We also celebrated Jamie as our Rotarian of the Year, recognizing his exceptional service and commitment to our club and community, which he delivers with kindness and good humor.

The celebrations continued at our first meeting of the new Rotary year, where President Ray introduced this year’s Rotary motto while celebrating the Fourth of July in style.

And, of course, no Bartram Trail-Julington Creek event would be complete without a card draw… 👀 Congratulations (or should we say good luck?) to whoever pulled the Joker. Allegedly, that means you’re in line to be our 2027 president, but only time will tell! 🃏😂

Here’s to another year of Service Above Self, meaningful connections, and creating lasting impact - together. 🇺🇸✨
