This story about a couple that had to be rescued from the Florida Trail in Ocala Forest should remind you that you should be prepared when you go hiking. That includes checking the weather forecast.

🏕️ Attention Future Backpackers! 🥾

If anyone has been thinking about getting into backpacking or tent camping, we are giving away a FREE tent to help someone get started!

This was my VERY FIRST backpacking tent and it helped start a whole lot of adventures. It’s a gently used REI Quarter Dome 2-person tent and includes:
✅ Rain fly
✅ Footprint
✅ Lots of future memories 😄

⚠️ Tent stakes are NOT included.
⚠️ Tent poles need to be restrung because the elastic has stretched out — but we’re already working on that thanks to MARK! 👏

We’d love for this to go to someone who wants to try tent camping without spending a bunch of money on gear they may or may not end up loving.

🚨 Fair warning: Side effects may include a backpacking addiction, excessive trail miles, gear shopping, campfire stories, and planning your life around hiking trips. 😅

Our very own Leslie Wheeler she is amazing and I love her so much! She was one of the first people I met and became friends with when I joined the NFTB and I was so blessed. You rock Leslie!
