DAY FIVE PART ONE: A jammed packed day of fun at Busch Gardens. We divided into three groups; the thrill seekers, the I need to look at the ride first and decide, and the not on your life bunch. I’ll let you guess which group Mrs. Lamb and I were in.

DAY FOUR PART ONE: We had off and on rain today. Let’s just say watching a group of kids battle as they put on a poncho is entertaining.
Our tour guide, Mr. Tim, added The 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, which was emotional to say the least. As an added bonus, Mr. Tim was able to get us into The Capital for a great educational tour. We visited The Korean and The Vietnam Memorials. Then wrapped up the day at The American History Museum prior to getting on the bus to Williamsburg.

DAY THREE PART ONE: What a wonderful day of learning! We started the day with thankfully cool, breezy weather as we walked around Arlington National Cemetery and witnessed The Changing of the Guard. We also walked around 2 Smithsonians, The Natural History and Air & Space. We walked the tidal basin to visit FDR and MLKJr Memorials. Then finished the day with The Marine’s Sunset Review.

DAY TWO PART ONE: We had a jammed packed day. Per usual, first stop, The Capital for a large group photo. We then spent the remainder of the day seeing The large Einstein statue, The Lincoln, WWII & Jefferson Memorials, The National Cathedral, & The African American Museum. We also got a treat special treat to walk right up to The Washington Monument. In years past, we only saw it from a distance.

5th Grade Safety Patrol Washington DC Trip

DAY ONE: 8 charter buses left promptly at 6am for a day of travel. We spent today dozing, chatting it up with friends, eating, more dozing, standing in quick restroom lines at rest areas, more eating, and then playing various card games before bed.
Everyone is looking forward to tomorrow!
