بفرحٍ مهيبٍ وروحٍ مملوءة بالصلاة، احتفلت اليوم جماعة القديسة تقلا للروم الملكيين الكاثوليك في جاكسونفيل بعيد رقاد والدة الإله الفائقة القداسة وانتقالها، بحضور أكثر من 200 مؤمن اجتمعوا حول نعش والدة الإله وأيقونتها المقدسة.

وللمرة الأولى في جاكسونفيل، صدحت الكنيسة بـ مراثي والدة الإله، وتوّج الاحتفال بزياحٍ مهيب ومؤثر، في شهادة إيمان ومحبة وإكرام لأمّنا وسيدتنا والدة الإله.

يا والدة الإله الفائقة القداسة، لا تنسي أبناءك في صلواتكِ.

كل عام وأنتم بخير، وليكن هذا العيد المبارك مصدر نعمةٍ، ورجاءٍ، وسلامٍ وفرحٍ سماوي للجميع. ☦️💐

With profound reverence and prayerful joy, Saint Thekla Melkite Catholic Community in Jacksonville celebrated today the glorious Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, with more than 200 faithful gathered in prayer around the Tomb and holy icon of the Mother of God.

For the first time in Jacksonville, the Lamentations of the Theotokos were solemnly chanted, followed by a beautiful and majestic procession—a powerful witness of faith, love, and devotion to our Most Holy Mother.

Most Holy Theotokos, never cease to intercede for us.

Wishing everyone a blessed and glorious Feast of the Dormition, filled with grace, hope, peace, and heavenly joy. ☦️💐

يسعدنا أن نشارككم هذا المقال الذي نُشر في مجلة Sophia التابعة لأبرشية نيوتن، والذي كتبه الأب مروان الخوري، ويوثّق محطة تاريخية في حياة جماعة مار تقلا الملكية الكاثوليكية في جاكسونفيل.

يسرد المقال زيارة سيادة المطران فرنسوا بيروتي إلى جاكسونفيل، وإعلانه الرسمي تسمية الجماعة باسم القديسة تقلا، في حدث شكّل بداية فصل جديد من النمو والرسالة لهذه الجماعة المؤمنة.

كما يستعرض مسيرة الجماعة، ونموها الروحي، وحيوية المؤمنين، ورؤيتها نحو تأسيس كنيسة دائمة تكون بيتًا للصلاة والإيمان والشركة للأجيال القادمة.

A Historic Milestone for the Melkite Catholic Community in Jacksonville

We are delighted to share this feature article, written by Fr. Marwan El Khoury, and published in Sophia Magazine, the official magazine of the Eparchy of Newton. The article highlights a historic chapter in the life of St. Thekla Melkite Catholic Community in Jacksonville.

It recounts Bishop François Beyrouti’s pastoral visit to Jacksonville and the official naming of the community under the patronage of St. Thekla, marking the beginning of a new chapter of growth, mission, and hope.

The article also reflects on the remarkable journey of the community, its vibrant spiritual life, the dedication of its faithful, and its vision of one day establishing a permanent church home where worship, fellowship, and formation can flourish for generations to come.
