We were blessed to be able to stay in the Team House at For The City Inc, in Desamperados, San Jose, Costa Rica last week. Pastor Miguel and his team are such a blessing to us! They have been working on the education building and it's looking beautiful! They do so much outreach to the homeless on Monday nights feeding 150 people and also in Alajuelita, San Jose. One of the most high crime and poor areas of San Jose. They also have computer programming, sewing, counseling, English and Mandarin classes. As well as offering Dental appts for people. Wonderful ministry!!

We were excited to have Shelley Welch from Trinity Lutheran Church, Roselle, IL join us last week in Costa Rica. She was able to see all the systems with us and also places teams could stay. We are excited to have Trinity bring some teams down with us in the future to help bring sustainable food to the less fortunate.

We had another successful trip to Costa Rica last week! We were able to help Teen Challenge in Patarra, get plants in rather than start from seed so they have food faster. We look forward to our new connection, Villa Plants in Cartago, for future purchases of plants for all the systems.

Last night's storm was a bad one! Several tree branches fell onto the greenhouse thru the sun shade and 2 layers of plastic 😢 🙏

This is Phil who we took our Aquaponics classes from and who Mitch has worked with building some large commercial Aquaponic systems.

What if a 10×10 space could produce 1,000 pounds of fish protein in just 6–8 months?
In Episode 211 of the Modern Farming Podcast, Kris and Tara sit down with Phil Reasons from Aquasol International to talk about the power of aquaponics and how sustainable systems are changing the way we grow food.
From helping Florida schools learn aquaponics through the Green Jean Foundation to building systems that can feed communities in developing countries, Phil shares how innovation in agriculture can create real solutions to global food challenges.
If you care about the future of food, sustainability, and teaching the next generation how to grow it… you won’t want to miss this conversation.
