We stand with our police and fire brothers and sisters in Jacksonville in opposition of the proposed millage rate reduction. Wednesday, the Jacksonville Beach City Council voted 5-1 to maintain the millage at the same rate it has been since 2017. This ensures the essential services offered by the City of Jacksonville Beach can be maintained, and often improved, for all residents.

This!

Thank you Officer Mondesir for your commitment to public safety and lifesaving training. Thank you to the off-duty Nurse who backed him up and took over CPR too!

HERO | Officer Mondesir was parked and working on a report when someone came up to him and told him a toddler wasn’t breathing. Bodycam footage shows Mondesir picking up the 18-month-old and giving him CPR for seven minutes. An unidentified off-duty nurse also acted "quickly and bravely," stepping in to save the child. The child was taken to the hospital, where he survived. http://www.firstcoastnews.com/article/life/heartwarming/gwinnett-police-officer-mondesir-off-duty-nurse-saves-toddler-with-cpr/85-1a72cc82-2fad-4907-9a23-b61321f6b1c1?tag1=wtlvshare
