✅ FACT: When it comes to graduation rates, Florida's traditional public schools outperform charter schools statewide. Recent statewide data show charter schools graduate students at a rate approximately 15 percentage points lower than traditional public schools.

As students across Florida head back to school, here’s a question worth asking:
What should we expect from schools that receive public dollars?
Florida’s district public schools are built around public responsibility, serving students, reporting performance, operating under public oversight, and giving communities a voice.
At the same time, billions in taxpayer dollars are funding private education through Florida’s voucher programs, but those schools don’t operate under all the same rules and requirements.
So we’re putting some of those differences side by side. 👀
🏫 A school that serves every student OR one that sets its own admissions and enrollment policies?
🔎 Public budgets and public scrutiny OR different transparency requirements?
