🚨 Take Action: Protect Students with Disabilities and Their Civil Rights
The U.S. Department of Education has announced plans to move the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) and the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) out of the Department of Education.
For the more than 10 million students who rely on IEPs and 504 Plans, these changes raise serious concerns about the future of educational supports, civil rights protections, and accountability.
Here's what hasn't changed: Students with disabilities are still protected under IDEA and remain legally entitled to a free and appropriate public education.
But Congress must act to protect these essential offices and fully fund the services students deserve.

Tell Congress:
âś… Keep OSERS and OCR within the Department of Education
âś… Protect students' civil rights and educational protections
âś… Fully fund IDEA and special education services
Students with disabilities are learners, leaders, artists, athletes, and innovators. They deserve the supports they need to thrive in their public schools.
