I feel like I haven't posted an actual update in a long time..

Our 501c3 Non-Profit Life Giving Limbs is about to hit our 2 Year Anniversary! And ya'll this makes me want to just bawl. To know that little piece by piece God is bringing together this plan...Our new website is launching soon..www.lifegivinglimbs.com and there will be an all new Merchandise shop, which is a quick and easy way to help support the children and Veterans that we provide artificial prosthetic limbs too.

I have part number 2 falling into place as well so there will be a big announcement when that officially launches here in the next few months.

And then that just leaves the 3rd and final legacy business, some of ya'll are privileged to know the gist of the plan, so you early watchers know some of what these future plans hold, but they are changing, expanding, and growing, every single day and I am so thrilled to watch God unfold his plan within my life...

I am back in school for my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. If I am going to help someone with the physical side of the loss of a limb, I ought to help them with the mental aspect as well. So, that is what I am aiming to do...

I have to say that I am kind of surprised and impressed with myself to be carrying a 4.0 GPA at the age of 39. I have made it on the Chancellor's List 2 times so far...

I still have a couple of other things I want to throw in the mix, so we'll see what skills I get to add to my repertoire this year! So far, I am kicking off with a giving season, because God Loves a cheerful giver and my first act this year will be a gift of Thanksgiving...

I have lost over 70lbs in the last 9 months and have reversed a Pre-Diabetes diagnosis, all from simply changing the way I eat and the way I think of food. World Carnivore Tribe IYKYK!

I am just so thankful to God, that he shows me so much favor and grace, as I continue to do what he asks of me...

My life is headed in one amazing direction, and as God lays the stepping stones in front of me, I will continue to praise his holy name...

Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh
Adonai, Elohim Tz' Va' Ot
Asher Hayah, V' Hoveh V'Yavo

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord, God Almighty
Who WAS, and IS, and IS TO COME!

Keep your eyes peeled for more upcoming announcements in the near future, and get ready to check out our cool new merchandise soon!

God, Bring on more of you in 2023, because I can't wait to see what all you do in my life this year! šŸ˜

FYI….

988 is a new phone number that recently went live to help people get help in a mental health crisis. Similar to 911, this line is dedicated for anyone in need of mental health assistance of any kind. Its 988.
May I please get 2 friends or family members to copy and re-post? I am trying to demonstrate that someone is always listening.

Self care during the holidays.

Shower. Not a bath, a shower. Use water as hot or cold as you like. You don’t even need to wash. Just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. Sit on the floor if you gotta.

Moisturize everything. Use whatever lotion you like. Unscented? Dollar store lotion? Fancy 48 hour lotion that makes you smell like a field of wildflowers? Use whatever you want, and use it all over your entire dermis.

Put on your favorite underwear. Cute black lacy panties? Those ridiculous boxers you bought last Christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? Put them on.

Drink cold water. Use ice. If you want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost. I like lemon or orange.

Clean something. Doesn’t have to be anything big. Organize one drawer of a desk. Wash five dirty dishes. Do a load of laundry. Scrub the bathroom sink.

Blast music. Listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. Sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

Make food. Don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. Take the time and make food. Even if it’s ramen. Add something special to it, like a soft boiled egg or some veggies. Prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.

Make something. Write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. Even if you don’t think you’re good at it. Create.

Go outside. Take a walk. Sit in the grass. Look at the clouds. Smell flowers. Put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.

Call someone. Call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. Talk to a stranger on the street. Have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. If you can’t bring yourself to call, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. Even if you don’t say much, listen to them. It helps.

Cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. Take pictures of them. Talk to them. Tell them how you feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out, anything.

May seem small or silly to some, but this list keeps people alive.

*** At your absolute best you won’t be good enough for the wrong people. But at your worst, you’ll still be worth it to the right ones. Remember that. Keep holding on.

*** In case nobody has told you today I love you and you are worth your weight and then some in gold, so be kind to yourself and most of all keep pushing on!!!

Find something to be grateful for!

As Veteran's day approaches and then goes, I feel compelled to remind everyone that just because a soldier returns from the war zone doesn't mean that the battles are over. Who's got my six? I'm going to make a bet, without being pessimistic, that out of my hundreds of friends, that less than 5 will take the time to put this on their wall. You just have to copy it from my wall and paste it to yours. Then type done on my wall. I've done this for a friend to spread Awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We lose approximately 22 Veterans a day to PTSD. More needs to be done to help Veterans in need. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Heroes come in all shapes, forms, sizes, colors...

But the one thing that they all share is braveness in spirit, courage, mental fortitude and strength...

They show compassion for their fellow human, while equally protecting us from the human monsters that reside amongst us...

They sacrfice their bodies, their emotions, and their minds...so that the rest of us can live our lives in oblivious innocence, going about our business with no real knowledge of the monsters around us.

Tomorrow we remember those heroes, we remember their sacrifices, we remember that although they made it home, they have already offered up a piece of themselves for your Freedom...

So tomorrow, make sure you thank every Veteran for their sacrifices, for their service to you, in protecting your Freedom and way of life.

It's the very least of what you can do, shake their hand (don't salute them), buy their cup of coffee or their meal, ask them what their favorite part of service was...acknowledge them and what they have done...

It's that simple. One small guesture can make the difference between another Veteran becoming one of the statistic of 22 a day...

How do you Thank a Veteran?

How do you start that conversation?

What are some ways that you can show respect to a Veteran?
