🚨BREAKING: President Trump PARDONED Bevelyn Williams, the pro-life advocate sentenced to 41 months in federal prison for her actions outside a Manhattan abortion clinic. Her conviction under the FACE Act came from preaching, praying on the sidewalk, and blocking access to the entrance during a protest in which a staff member claimed a hand injury.
Williams had served only a few months of that sentence when the pardon was issued. The clemency also freed 22 other activists convicted under the same law for similar protests at abortion clinics — cases where prayer and direct efforts to prevent abortions were treated as federal crimes punishable by years in prison, while attacks on pregnancy resource centers went largely unprosecuted.
The pardon makes clear that defending the unborn should not be a jailable offense. Religious expression and peaceful opposition to abortion should be protected, not singled out for federal prosecution.
