Our next community spotlight is... Crystal Springs!
Crystal Springs continues to build momentum through community-driven initiatives, downtown revitalization efforts, and strategic investments that enhance the city for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. One of the most significant recent accomplishments was the award of a Mississippi Main Street Revitalization Grant (MMSRG) to support the rehabilitation of the historic Old Biggs Building in downtown Crystal Springs. This investment represents an important step in preserving a key historic structure while creating new opportunities for economic development, business growth, and downtown revitalization.
Main Street Crystal Springs has also continued to strengthen the downtown district through community events and promotions, including the successful return of the Taste of the Blues Festival, which brought together thousands of visitors, local businesses, food vendors, artisans, and live entertainment. The festival showcased the unique character of Crystal Springs and generated increased visibility and economic activity for the community.
"Main Street Crystal Springs serves as a driving force for preserving our community’s unique character while creating new opportunities for growth and success. Through downtown revitalization, community events, beautification projects, and support for local businesses, we are helping to build a stronger, more vibrant Crystal Springs. Our work brings people together, celebrates what makes our city special, and creates an environment where residents, visitors, and businesses can thrive for generations to come."
