Today, August 31, 2026, is International Overdose Awareness Day and we’re reminding you that Naloxone (Narcan) is available, for free, here at the Grace Center. Narcan is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids, including he**in, fentanyl, and prescription opioid medications.

Kentucky saw a 22.9% decrease in overdose deaths in 2025 compared to the previous year, representing the lowest number of overdose deaths recorded in the Commonwealth since 2014. Every life lost to overdose matters, and prevention remains a public health priority.

Don’t wait to add Narcan to your first aid kit!
