Throughout the year we reach out to businesses and organizations to sponsor bras and find individuals to decorate bras. The bar is raised each year, now bra decorators have become artists and pour in time and creativity to produce runway worthy pieces of wearable art. The event culm

inates into an exciting fashion show and live auction where we auction off the bras to the highest bidder. The attendance and creativity has grown each year to a must attend sold out event, contributing to the steady increase in proceeds to the cause. John’s Hospital Foundation Women’s Healthcare Fund. This year’s event will continue to benefit the Women’s Health Fund here in Jackson and to support breast cancer awareness. The Women’s Health Care Fund helps uninsured and under-insured women in our community receive health care and treatment for a variety of women’s health exams, including pelvic exams, health profiles, PAP smears, bone density scans, mammograms, breast ultrasound and breast biopsies. Many of our mother’s taught us: “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” When it comes to women’s health, this short, well known saying is a basic truth. The Women’s Health Care Fund is available for women in Jackson who have neglected their personal well-being in order to balance their family’s budget. Taking care of our friends and family’s health is our best investment. Early detection of health disorders broadens treatment options and ultimately lowers costs.
