Bereavement Coordinator Amy B. shared how an Elara Caring Hospice Foundation Child & Teen Bereavement Kit helped one young girl open up about her mom:

"She told me that when she sees a rainbow, she thinks of her mom and thinks it’s her mom telling her 'Hello'. She sat by me, wanting to see what else was in the backpack. She told a story related to her mother for each item. It got her talking and trusting me. All of her stories were positive, and she would relate them back to how she still felt a connection to her mother."

Stories like this show how thoughtful resources can help children express their feelings, share treasured memories and begin to heal.
