Camp Teetonkah

Camp Teetonkah Camp Teetonkah is operated by the Michigan Crossroads Council, Scouting America. The camp consists of 240 acres on the shore of Big Wolf Lake.

Camp Teetonkah is located in the Irish Hills of Michigan, southwest of Grass Lake. One of the oldest Scout camps in the country. Camp Teetonkah also offers weekend camping for Scout units. Campsites offer on site water, and are a short walk to modern indoor restrooms. The dining hall pavilion is also available to rent for your unit to use for meetings, picnics, or just some protection from the elements. Electricity and lights make using it at night very convenient.

This is a friendly reminder that you must bring printed copies of both your Safeguarding Youth Training Certificate and your Michigan Central Registry Clearance Letter. Screenshots will not be accepted.

Safeguarding Youth Training Certificate

If you need to locate and print your certificate, please follow these steps:

Log in to My.Scouting.
Select My Training.
Click Menu and choose Completed Training.
Find Safeguarding Youth Training Certification.
Click the button next to the training.
A Certificate button will appear. Click it and print your certificate.
Michigan Central Registry Clearance Letter

The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) now offers a simple, free online process to obtain your required Central Registry Clearance.

Go to www.michigan.gov/ccbc-camps and create an account.

Log in and submit a new Central Registry Clearance request.

Results are typically available within 5 business days.
Download and print your clearance letter once it is available. A hard copy is required at camp check-in.

Out-of-state attendees: Please continue to follow the out-of-state clearance instructions.

Michigan residents: Your clearance letter must be dated within the current year. A new clearance letter is required each year you plan to attend or visit camp.

​We are looking for extra staffing help for our upcoming Cub Camp summer sessions!

​📅 Session Dates
​Summer Camp 3: July 17 – July 20, 2026
​Summer Camp 4: July 24 – July 27, 2026
​Summer Camp 5: July 31 – August 3, 2026

​🎯 Open Roles & Details
​1. RATA Staff
​When: Saturday and Sunday only.
​Requirements: Must be Rangemaster trained.
​Flexibility: Very flexible! Even if you can only cover one or two classes, we will gladly take the help.

​2. Kitchen / Cooking Staff
​When: Any time you can give, but our highest priority days are Saturday and Sunday.
​

​Qualifications: ServSafe certification is a major plus, but not required.
​If you are available to help out for any of these sessions—even just for a partial shift—please let us know as soon as possible!

🐾 Day 1 of Cub Camp is officially in the books! 🐾
What an absolutely incredible start to the summer. Our campers hit the ground running today and packed Day 1 with unforgettable memories. Here’s a look at how we kicked things off:

🗺️ Camp Tour: Exploring our home away from home and learning the ropes.

🏃‍♂️ Campwide Game: High energy, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun!

🇺🇸 Flag Ceremony: A proud moment as we conducted our very first formal flag lowering.

🔥 Opening Night Campfire: Songs, skits, laughter, and that perfect campfire glow to wrap up an amazing first day.

The energy has been amazing, and we are so proud of how our Cubs showed up, made new friends, and embraced the camp spirit right from the start.

The Trading Post is fully stocked, organized, and ready for action! We’ve got all your essentials covered for the week:

👕 Camp Swag: Fresh t-shirts, hoodies, and hats to show your camp pride.

🍫 Snacks & Treats: Plenty of snacks, chips, and drinks to keep your energy up between activities.
