🎃 October is AAC Awareness Month, and Halloween is a perfect opportunity to celebrate that communication comes in many forms!

We’re sharing this free Halloween communication resource to help make trick-or-treating more inclusive for everyone. It includes:

🍬 A picture-based communication board for trick-or-treat bags or buckets
🎃 Visuals for recorded-message switches
👻 Wearable “trick-or-treat” communication bracelets

Whether someone communicates by speaking, pointing, gesturing, using a switch, or using an AAC device, their communication is valid and deserves to be recognized.

And a friendly reminder: No one should be required to say “trick-or-treat” to participate or receive a treat. 💙

CLUBLIFE will also offer different ways to engage and communicate at our Trunk-or-Treat spot at Keely Park on Wednesday, October 28, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Come in costume, trick-or-treat, or help us pass out candy—we’d love to see you!

⚠️ KICKBALL CANCELED TONIGHT! ⚠️

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to cancel tonight’s CLUBLIFE Kickball Game! ⚽️

We only have 5 participants signed up, and while we love a good game of kickball, 5 people would make for a pretty tough game! 😅

We were looking forward to enjoying this beautiful fall weather with everyone, but hopefully we can get a bigger crew together next time!

Thanks for understanding, and we hope to see you at another CLUBLIFE event soon!

🌧️ KICKBALL CANCELLED TONIGHT! 🌧️

Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t cooperating with us today! Due to the weather and field conditions, tonight’s CLUBLIFE Kickball game is CANCELLED.

We’re bummed to miss out on some kickball fun, but want to keep everyone safe and comfortable. 💙

Please help us spread the word to anyone who was planning to attend tonight. Stay dry, CLUBLIFE crew! ☔️

🍂 OCTOBER EVENTS ARE LIVE! 🍂

CLUBLIFE has a full month of fall fun planned, and registration is officially open!

😂 We’re kicking things off with Connecting with Comedy at the Michigan Theatre—an inclusive evening of live comedy and lots of laughs!

🍎 Next, we’re staying local for a Local Color Tour, visiting Lowry’s Little Flock Farm, Meckley’s and Adams Farm for sweet treats, c***r or apples, and pumpkin picking!

🎃 We’ll finish the month with a trip to Wiard’s Orchard and Country Fair for wagon rides, a corn maze, mini golf, farm animals and plenty of fall festivities!

And don’t worry—our regular monthly favorites, including Bowling League and Hoops Group, are continuing throughout October too!

A little rain couldn’t stop the fun! 🌧️⚽️

We had an AWESOME time cheering on Detroit City FC today — and even better, we got to watch them bring home a 1–0 WIN! 🙌❤️⚜️

The weather may not have been perfect, but this crew sure knows how to make the best of it. Lots of laughs, lots of cheering, and another great CLUBLIFE adventure in the books!

⚽️ DCFC TRIP UPDATE — WE ARE STILL ON! ⚽️

We’ve been keeping a close eye on today’s weather and Detroit City FC’s updates, and as of right now, we are still planning to head to tonight’s game!

🌧️ Please dress for the weather! Rain is expected, so we strongly recommend bringing a poncho/rain jacket and/or a SMALL umbrella. Detroit City FC does allow small umbrellas inside Keyworth Stadium, but large/golf umbrellas and umbrellas with metal tips are not permitted.

A few important things to know about DCFC and weather:

☔ Light to moderate rain = they play!
🌧️ Severe rainfall = play may be paused if field conditions need to be addressed.
⚡ Lightning = immediate stoppage of play.

So, rain by itself does not mean the game will be postponed or canceled. A significant weather situation, unsafe field conditions, or lightning could result in a delay, stoppage, postponement or other change to the match.

We will continue watching the weather closely throughout the day AND monitoring any official updates directly from Detroit City FC. If anything changes that impacts our trip, we will let everyone know as soon as possible.

For now — we’re going to DCFC! ⚽️🙌
