AJM Is a youth football and cheer program for kids in 1st-8th grade. We focus on fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun, and supportive environment.

Through football and cheer, kids develop skills, confidence, and life long friendships.

This Saturday, as we host the Oakdale Stampede, another exclusive AJM hat is dropping!

The Argonaut Junior Mustangs put on an awesome showing in Sonora on Saturday, August 29, taking three of four games from a stellar Sonora Jr. Cats program.

Junior Novice started the day off, as they always do. Although the game was tied 6-6 at halftime, the Junior Mustangs pulled away in the second half and came home with a 19-6 victory, moving them to 3-0 on the season.

Novice looks to be hitting on all cylinders. They hit the ground running and never looked back, winning in blowout fashion, 41-0, and also advancing to 3-0.

JV had another tough loss, giving up a touchdown on the opening kickoff and never being able to fully recover. They battled throughout the game but fell 22-6, dropping them to 1-2 on the season.

Varsity had a hard-fought battle in a very physical game from the onset. Their defense was swarming all day, never surrendering a single point, while the offense put together sustained drives and really wore down the Sonora defense. The Mustangs eventually pulled away for a 21-0 victory, moving them to 2-1.

We couldn’t be more proud of how our boys have started this season. Three weeks in, we have two undefeated teams and all four levels continuing to battle, improve, and represent AJM the right way.

Next up, we look forward to hosting Oakdale in what should be a challenge at all four levels this coming Saturday at Dan Barnett Field.

🏈 AJM NIGHT AT ARGONAUT HIGH SCHOOL! 🟢🟡

Alright, AJM — let’s get ready to pack the stands and root our high school boys on to a victory as they kick off their season against the Hilmar Yellow Jackets this Friday night!

In collaboration with Argonaut High School, we’re excited for AJM Night!

🏈📣 All AJM football players and cheerleaders get into the game FREE as long as they are wearing their uniform.

Our Junior Novice football players will get a pretty special experience as they “Walk with the Future,” holding hands with the Argonaut Varsity players as they make their way onto the field and run through the tunnel! Coach Ramm will have more details as we get closer.

📣 Our AJM JV and Varsity cheerleaders will join the high school cheerleaders for a special halftime performance!

🏈 Varsity kickoff is at 7:00 PM.

We will have AJM board members monitoring the kids on the west end of the track, so parents can send their athletes down to that area anytime after 6:45 PM.

Please note that only uniformed AJM football players and cheerleaders will be allowed in the west end zone/track area. Parents, siblings, and other spectators will need to remain in the stands.

🎟️ ADMISSION: Only uniformed AJM football players and cheerleaders receive free admission. All adults and other spectators must purchase admission through GoFan.

🥩 And make sure you save room for the famous Argonaut garlic steak sandwich — they’ll be available at the Snack Shack!

We hope everyone makes a point to come out Friday night, support our high school boys, and show them what the Mustang community is all about.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND… THE AJM HOME GAME HAT DROP! 🧢🔥

At halftime of each home game this year, we’ll be dropping just 12 limited-edition AJM hats at the apparel booth. Since there are only 3 games this week, we’ll have 16 available at halftime of each game.

Each hat will be available for $30, and these are first come, first served, with a limit of ONE hat per person in line. So if you really like this week’s hat, we suggest getting in line early!

And for those of you who like to collect them all… 👀

Anyone who collects every hat drop this season will be entered into a special drawing at the end of the year for a chance to win an AJM package.

Last year’s package was pretty darn good… we’ll see what we can dream up this year. 😏

AJM rolls into MVFL Week 2 undefeated at every level, and we’re looking to keep that momentum rolling as we host the Escalon Youth Cougars at Dan Barnett Field this Saturday, August 22nd!

There will be no Junior Novice game this week, as Escalon does not have enough players to field a team. But don’t worry, Junior Novice cheerleaders and mascots, you’ll still get your chance to perform! More information will be coming soon in your GroupMe messages.

This is our first home game of the season, so rally the troops, pack the stands, and come out to support our Junior Mustangs!

WEEK 1: MUSTANG SWEEP 🏈💚💛

The Argonaut Jr. Mustangs couldn’t have asked for a better start to the 2026 season, going 4-0 on opening day against the AMA Jr. Bullfrogs at Bret Harte High School.

Junior Novice set the tone early. They came out fast, physical and athletic, controlling both sides of the football on their way to an impressive 27-6 victory.

Novice picked up right where JN left off. Their speed showed all afternoon, especially around the edges, and defensively they swarmed to the football from start to finish. Final score: AJM 21, AMA 6.

Junior Varsity continued to do what this group has become known for — play defense. The Mustangs didn’t allow a point all afternoon, pitching another shutout while the offense put 32 on the board in a convincing 32-0 win.

Varsity had to earn theirs. In a physical game that remained tied 6-6 midway through the fourth quarter, the Mustangs finally broke through late, scoring 14 unanswered points to pull away for a 20-6 victory and complete the four-game sweep.

There’s no better way to start a season than 1 program and 4 wins.

A big thank you to AMA for being great hosts as always. We always enjoy making the trip over to Angels Camp — and grabbing some Mike’s Pizza before heading home! 🍕

Now it’s time to bring Mustang football back home.

WEEK ONE IS FINALLY HERE! 🏈

This Saturday, August 15th, we head to Angels Camp to take on the AMA Jr. Bullfrogs for our first game of the season!

Game Times:

* Jr. Novice — 12:00 PM
* Novice — 2:00 PM
* Jr. Varsity — 4:00 PM
* Varsity — 6:00 PM

WEIGH-INS: Jr. Novice will weigh in at 11:00 AM. All other teams will weigh in at halftime of the game before theirs. Please arrive at the time your coach tells you to. If you miss weigh-ins, you will not be able to suit up.

As a reminder, no outside food, drinks, ice chests, or pets are allowed at any MVFL stadium throughout the season.

This is our first away game, so please be respectful and remember that we’re all representing the Argonaut Jr. Mustangs.

Let’s start this season off the right way.

The Argonaut Junior Mustangs would like to wish the Amador East 12U All-Stars the best of luck as they head to Chico this weekend to compete for the Northern California Championship and take another step toward their ultimate goal of reaching Williamsport and representing Amador County in the Little League World Series!

The Amador East 13 man roster features 11 of our AJM football players, and while we definitely miss having these boys out on the practice field with us, we want them to know they have the full support of the entire AJM family. Football will be here when their baseball run is over. Until then, keep playing ball, keep fighting, and keep chasing that dream!

Make your county proud. Make AJM proud. And hopefully, we won’t see you back on the football field for another six or seven weeks!

Keep rolling, boys. Go get it! ⚾️🏆🐴

The Argonaut Junior Mustangs would like to thank the families above for their incredible support and congratulate them on winning five of our six VIP Premium EZ-Up Spots for the 2026 season!

All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly back to our kids and help make the AJM program the best it can be.

AJM Hell Week starts TODAY!

We’ll be going Monday through Friday from 6:00–8:00 PM. Please have your player on the field by 5:45 PM, cleats laced up and ready to go.

By design, Hell Week is meant to test our players’ physical and mental toughness. It will not be easy. Come prepared to work hard, push through adversity, and get better every single day.

Stay hydrated. Stay focused. Keep a good attitude. Work hard.

We’ll see everybody on the field! 🏈💪🐎
