🏈💚💛 ONE LAST TIME AT HOME!

Your Argonaut Junior Mustangs will take the field at home for the final time this season on Saturday, October 17th, as we host the Hughson Huskies!

We invite all AJM families, friends, and supporters to come out and cheer on our football players and cheerleaders as they make their final appearance at Dan Barnett Field for the 2026 season!

We’ll also be celebrating our 8th graders, who will take the field for the very last time as Argonaut Junior Mustangs.

Some of these kids have been with our program for all eight years, and the fact that they continue to return year after year is the ultimate compliment to our organization, our coaches, and everything we’ve worked to build.

Please come out and help us give these boys and girls the sendoff they deserve as they prepare to move on to Argonaut High School and continue their football and cheerleading careers.

Let’s pack the stands one last time and show these kids how much this community supports them!

🔥🏈 FINAL HAT DROP OF THE SEASON! 🐎💚

For our last hat drop of the year, we wanted to go old school with a vintage Argonaut Mustangs hat that represents the toughness, grit, and tradition of Argonaut football.

We’re talking about the toughness that dates back to the early 2000s, when the Double Wing offense was brought to Argonaut and the Mustangs became a force to be reckoned with in the Mother Lode League and Division IV of the Sac-Joaquin Section.

Those teams were physical, hard-nosed, and tough as nails. They built a reputation that opponents respected, and that’s the same mentality we strive to instill in our boys today as we work to put Argonaut football back on the map!

This hat is a tribute to that tradition and a reminder of what Argonaut football has always stood for. TOUGHNESS. PRIDE. TRADITION. 💪🐎

With that said, THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO GET A HAT THIS SEASON!

For those of you who need just one more hat to complete your collection and qualify for our end-of-year gift, make sure you get there EARLY and get in line! We expect these to go fast!

There were plenty of donuts handed out by your Argonaut Junior Mustangs last Saturday in Galt, California! 🐎💪

With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, we’re heading down the home stretch and gearing up for the playoffs!

First up, we welcome Hughson to Mustang Country for our final home game before heading to Sutter Creek to take on Amador in THE LITTLE BIG GAME! 🔥

Two weeks left. A lot to play for. Let’s finish strong and carry that momentum into the postseason!

📣 CONGRATULATIONS, ARGONAUT JR. MUSTANGS CHEER! 🖤🤍🐎

A huge congratulations to our Mascot and JV cheerleaders for bringing home 2nd place finishes at today’s 2026 MVFL Cheer Competition! 🏆🥈

We also want to give a special shoutout to our Junior Novice, Novice, and Varsity cheerleaders for all their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the season.

Regardless of today’s results, we know we have some of the best cheerleaders in the entire league! These girls have worked incredibly hard, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they represent the Argonaut Jr. Mustangs.

We’ll keep working, improving, and pushing to show why Argonaut is one of the best organizations in the entire MVFL!

Saturday, we head to Galt with one goal in mind: bring four victories back to Jackson! 🏈🐎

As many of you know, there have been years of discussion about consolidating Argonaut and Amador High Schools after previous bond measures failed.

Now, the district is considering moving forward with a 7–9 / 10–12 model, which would place grades 7–9 at Argonaut and grades 10–12 at Amador.

This is no longer just a conversation. A vote to move forward is expected this month.

A recent poll of the Argonaut Junior Mustangs community received more than 400 responses, with 81% saying they oppose the proposed consolidation. A similar Ledger Dispatch poll last year showed very similar results.

If you have an opinion on this, now is the time to make it known.

Decisions like this can have a lasting impact on our schools, our students, our athletic programs, and our community. For Argonaut Junior Mustangs specifically, this could mean significant changes to the program as we know it today.

It is easy to comment online after a decision has already been made. Tonight is an opportunity to be part of the conversation before that happens.

Saturday was a tough one for your Argonaut Jr. Mustangs.

The day started with a lopsided loss at the Junior Novice level before turning into two absolute battles at Novice and JV. Both games were tight and physical, but in the end the Calaveras Jr. Redhawks were able to come out on top.

The JV game went all the way to overtime, with our boys coming up literally a foot short of the game-tying touchdown — and potentially a conversion away from winning it.

Then Varsity came out and made sure we finished the day on a high note, putting together a dominant performance and throttling the Junior Redhawks.

Now we turn the page.

With three weeks left in the regular season, our focus shifts to Galt as we continue building toward the most important part of the year.

One game at a time. Then it’s playoff time. 🏈

This week’s Home Game Hat Drop is inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

As we take the field, we also want to take a moment to recognize the fighters, celebrate the survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and keep every family affected by breast cancer close in our thoughts. This week’s pink hats are a small way for the AJM family to show support, love, and awareness for something that has touched so many lives.

We want the hat drop to stay fun for everyone, so please follow the line rules:

* One hat per person in line
* No saving spots
* No tickets or placeholders
* You must physically wait in line for your own hat
* No swapping people in and out of line
* No having someone else wait in line for you and then taking their spot

This is strictly first come, first served. If you want a hat, you must be the person physically standing in line when they go on sale.
