Yana Club Update (4/19/26):
We’re excited to let everyone know that we’ve selected a contractor, removed fire debris, gotten permits, and plan to start the renovation work this week. Top priority is getting power back to the building 🙌❤️.

Many of you have asked how you can help after the arson fire at YANA. We’ve launched a GoFundMe to cover urgent, uninsured needs - a critical step in safely completing repairs and returning to full operation. If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing.

Yana Club Update (April 1, 2026)

We are happy to announce that our remediation work is complete and the Yana Club will be open for meetings on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Renovation work is starting soon so stay tuned for more updates.

Yana Club Update (March 29, 2026):

😊Good news. We are starting our repair work on Monday, March 30.

😳Not so good news. During the inspection of the fire damage, trace levels of asbestos were detected in the drywall dust and exterior siding (which is common in buildings the age of ours). We notified the appropriate state authorities and were required to wait ten days before starting the special remediation process to remove the drywall and siding. That will commence on Monday, March 30.

Since safety for everyone at the Yana Club is always our top priority, no meetings will be allowed inside the building through Thursday, April 2. As soon as the remediation is complete, meetings can resume. We will post an update to confirm when the building is reopening.

Following the remediation, our construction team will move quickly to restore power and renovate the building to full functionality.

😩The really, really not so good news. We need your financial support, now!! The asbestos remediation will cost ~$12,000 and it is not covered by our insurance. Yana Club President, Emma M. is leading our capital fundraising effort (for this and other work needed). Please help us get the Yana Club back on its feet with a contribution at yanaclubms.com. 🙌❤️

We’re back!

The Yana Club is reopening on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in a limited capacity. The building is safe for limited use, but some rooms will be sealed, there is no power, and there is no air conditioning or heating. Bathrooms are functional. We are working with our restoration team to get the building back to full functionality, but we wanted to allow meetings to continue during the restoration process.

What’s going to be different?
Room assignments may vary (check bulletin board for guidance) and no one is permitted to enter sealed rooms or touch restoration equipment. If we are unable to adhere to these rules, we may be forced to close until renovations are complete.

First things first, we are staying sober and we hope you are too!

Now for our update: Unfortunately, the Yana Club will not be open for AA meetings on Monday, March 2 as hoped. We are waiting on clearance that the building is structurally sound and safe for use. The building, side driveway and back parking lots are closed until further notice. Please respect the caution tape and stay clear of these areas.

YANA Clubhouse Update:

On the evening of Thursday, February 26, there was a fire at the YANA Clubhouse. We are currently working with the fire department and our insurance adjuster to assess the damage and plan for repairs. To ensure everyone’s safety, the Yana Clubhouse is temporarily closed and no meetings will be held until Monday, March 2. Please stay off the property and give our team the space to get the Clubhouse safely operational.

Yana family and friends, we’ve had a fire in our building. Due to the safety of our members, we will be closed through the weekend. We are working with fire department and insurance to determine the best course of action.

The building is currently deemed unsafe for meetings to be held. We will be in touch with updates when we have them.
