Phi Beta Lambda at Belhaven University This page serves to inform Belhaven and the greater Jackson area of PBL opportunities, events, and fundraising for local charities and non-profits.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL),has served Belhaven students and the greater Jackson community for 5o years. The chapter was created in order to prepare students for success and give them valuable business experience. Every semester the chapter invites guest speakers to share their wisdom and give insight. The students are also involved in business meetings and service projects such as fundraising activitie

s and gift giving to local charity organizations. Last year PBL gave Gateway Rescue Mission a donation of $500, largely obtained from selling hot chocolate and doughnuts at the Belhaven Singing Christmas Tree in December. We encourage students of all majors and years to join us. We consist of more than just Business majors. The skills and relationships made from being a member of PBL are valuable for everyone. We strive to live out Belhaven's motto: To serve, not be served.

After completing an internship with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, the accounting graduate has been accepted and offered scholarships to prestigious graduate programs at Notre Dame, Wake Forest and UNC Chapel Hill.
