Last Sunday I recieved a phone call from Jim Gleason of the Carpenters International, he wanted to meet today to discuss a merger with local 2236 out of Oakland California. Today on my last break I received a phone call from our bank, 2 guys went in and tried to close our bank account. At 4:30 we had a meeting with those two guys, they provided a letter that said our local was being dissolved and we would be merged with local 2236. Our contract will remain in effect, but I don't have many more answers. More information will be forthcoming in the near future. It's been an honor to be president of local 2927. Thank you all
