💔 We're heartbroken.

Sometime recently, someone removed the solar lights from our western trail obstacle course along the Fairgreens Road frontage. The fixtures are still there, but the lights themselves are gone.

These weren't decorative extras. They helped light the trail after dark, making it easier for visitors to see the fence and helping prevent accidents. Their loss affects everyone who uses and enjoys our facility.

For nearly 20 years, our nonprofit has worked to create a safe, welcoming place for individuals and families in our community. Every dollar we receive is carefully directed toward our programs and the people we serve. Replacing stolen items simply isn't something our budget can absorb.

To the person who took the lights: if you're reading this, we ask you to consider returning them. No questions asked. We believe people are capable of making better choices, and it's never too late to do the right thing. A simple act of returning them would mean more than you know.

To our wonderful supporters: if you happened to see anything unusual or have information that could help, please send us a private message. Even the smallest detail could make a difference.

If you can't help with information, sharing this post is another way you can support us. Together, we can continue protecting the safe, welcoming space our community deserves.

Thank you for always standing beside us. ❤️

It’s amazing to look back and see just how far this little rescue red roan Welsh mare has come since joining our program.

From the day she arrived, she has shown us her kind heart, willing attitude, and gentle nature. Over time, she has become an invaluable member of our team, helping countless beginner handlers build confidence and learn the fundamentals of horsemanship. No matter the task, she has always been patient, dependable, and eager to do her best.

While we are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished with us, we know she is ready for her next chapter. This special little mare deserves a person of her own to love, learn with, and share new adventures.

If you are looking for a wonderful equine partner and would like to meet this sweet mare, we would love to introduce you. Give us a call to learn more—she may just be ready to become your new best friend. ❤️🐴

Our Pony Clubbers have been working hard to develop the knowledge and skills required for carriage driving, and this week they took the next step in their journey by harnessing up and trying their hand at ground driving with our miniature ponies!

Working together as a team, the clubbers practiced steering their ponies through an obstacle course using the new barrels generously donated by Speyside Bourbon Cooperage earlier this year as an in-kind contribution.

Ground driving is a fantastic way to build communication, confidence, patience, and partnership between horse and handler. Our clubbers rose to the challenge, demonstrating great teamwork and determination as they learned this new skill.

A huge thank you to Speyside Bourbon Cooperage for their generous donation, which has helped us create engaging and rewarding learning opportunities for both our students and ponies. We look forward to continuing to build these skills and seeing our clubbers progress on their carriage driving journey!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Stargazey Farms Stargazey's Sweet Pea! It's hard to believe that this little filly turned 9 years old this month and has been working with our students for ALMOST a decade!

As a second-generation therapy pony, she has big hooves to fill. She is the daughter of Sugar, our founding therapy pony, and has continued her mother's legacy by becoming a true club favourite.

We are so proud of everything she has achieved and grateful to all of the Pony Clubbers who have spent time working with her, helping her grow into the amazing pony she is today.

The legacy continues, too — her daughter, Rabbit, has been part of our program since 2023 and has learned so much from her mother.

These photos show her confidently tackling the obstacle course with one of our clubbers, doing what she does best: supporting, teaching, and bringing smiles to everyone she meets. ❤️🐴

We are so excited to share a recent addition to our obstacle course thanks to a generous in-kind donation from Speyside Bourbon Cooperage!

We were gifted barrels that we were able to sand, stain, and transform into durable, fun, and creative elements for our course. The kids absolutely love them—they’ve quickly become a favorite part of our sessions, encouraging balance, coordination, confidence, and a whole lot of communication and teamwork. It’s amazing to see how something so simple can be turned into such an engaging learning tool with a little creativity and care.

We are incredibly grateful for Speyside’s support and investment in our program. Donations like this directly enhance what we can offer our participants and help us continue building meaningful, hands-on experiences.

We are always welcoming additional donations of obstacles or materials to help grow and improve the course. If you or your organization would like to contribute, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently seeking sponsors to help us build a picnic shelter for the obstacle course area—an addition that would greatly expand our ability to gather, teach, and connect in all kinds of weather. If you are interested in sponsoring or supporting this project, please contact our office for more information (740) 286-5533, or email [email protected].

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this work and help it grow!

We recently had the opportunity to attend the PATH Region 4 Conference in Holland, Michigan. It was an inspiring experience filled with thoughtful presentations, engaging demonstrations, and valuable networking with others in the field.

We were especially grateful for the chance not only to learn, but also to present on our Prosocial Pony Club and our juvenile justice programming. Sharing our work and connecting with others doing similar impactful work was a real highlight of the event.

Here are a few photos from one of our talks while we were waiting for the audience to arrive.

Thank you to PATH for the opportunity to present on two topics, and we look forward to participating again in the future.

Today at Stargazey’s Prosocial Pony Club we had a wonderful session working with our beloved Fjord horses. The focus of the day was learning about harness fit, its purpose, and how it is correctly used in a working environment.

Our clubbers did a great job engaging hands-on, asking thoughtful questions, and carefully observing how proper harness fit is paramount to driving both safely and comfortably for the horses.
