A Jackson voice is calling on the community to step up after someone vandalized the beloved Qwik Chik corner store, leaving the business heavily damaged.

“We got a call to action… they done hit Qwik Chik corner, man. They done tore this man’s store up,” he said in a video from the scene. “Mr. Smith… they done broke in the man’s store and tore it up.”

He said the attack goes beyond one business, warning that Jackson can’t afford to keep losing neighborhood stores.

“We ain’t got too many business owners in Jackson. We gonna have to come together to get Mr. Smith’s Qwik Chik back together. I don’t know what they were looking for… these super gremlins out here.”

He also shared a blunt message about what could happen if the violence and destruction continue.

“After a while, it ain’t gonna be too many business owners in the neighborhood. We gotta wake up. This is getting out of control.”

The man is now urging everyone who grew up around the Qwik Chik corner to help restore the store by replacing broken windows, installing security cameras, and helping Mr. Smith recover from the damage.

“Everybody who paid dues on this corner… Mr. Smith needs y’all right now. This is s*** so f****** sad.”
