If you’ve been to the clinic at least twice you’ve probably had the pleasure of meeting Charlie aka Charles, Sir Charles and Charlie Cat.
He has been a member of the Deming kitty staff since 2013 and quickly became a staff and client favorite.
Charles was most definitely a hairstylist in another life and he loved to sit on your shoulder and play in your hair. He was gorgeous and chunky and the biggest love bug. He put up with all of our shenanigans of dressing him up for birthdays and holidays and I truly believe he loved the attention. He also was so accepting of every office cat that came after him even Cookie who was madly in love with him despite his old man appearance.
Age and what comes with it caught up to Charlie and he lost some weight and his hair was not so luxurious and even with the best vet care and meds our sweet boy was fading.
Charlie lived to be a ripe age of 15 and he crossed the bridge today with as much love as any cat could hope for. The clinic was quiet, he was fed all his favorite snacks and he went peacefully while 3 girls who knew him at all different times in his life cried and told him how loved he was. It’s how it should be.
You will be forever loved and missed Charlie Cat. ❤️ Go give Big Momma our love!
