Jackson Moose Lodge #156

Jackson Moose Lodge #156 The Jackson Moose Lodge is not only a place for our member families to enjoy but also a place to make

During the Moose International Conference in Las Vegas last weekend there was a vote to make all Moose Lodges to***co free. This vote was taken with representatives from every Lodge that attended. The vote was required to be a 2/3s majority to pass. With an over whelming majority the vote passed and there will be no to***co products used in any Moose Lodge. That includes smoking, smokeless to***co and vaporizers. I know not everyone will be happy about this but I believe that this will be a huge step forward for our Lodge and it’s members. We will be taking steps to make sure our smoking members are still comfortable. If there are any questions or concerns please bring them to one of the Board Members. There will be more information coming in the next weeks. Thank you for supporting our Lodge and what the Moose stands for.

Moose International is happy to announce a more user-friendly version of Moose magazine for mobile devices – just in time for your holiday travel season and members who are busy and on-the-go! The new and enhanced version, making its debut with the October/November 2017 issue of Moose magazine, features flowable text and adjustable font size so you no longer have to struggle to read stories from your phone or tablet! In addition, the contents view makes it easy to see all the stories/features at once so you can jump to your favorite section much faster, while still being able to see the traditional/page view if you desire. A tutorial is also offered to walk you through all the features/benefits of the new platform at the beginning. We hope you enjoy this new enhanced version of Moose magazine, making it easier for those of you on the go to stay connected! Check it out online at http://bit.ly/2gnntKl

Message from the New Director of Membership, Mike Rios

Greetings, Brothers and Co-Workers,
I am very excited about my new position as Director of Membership and look forward to the challenges and rewards associated with helping to grow our great fraternity! Like you, I am dedicated to our youth, seniors and communities and want to make a difference in our world. Our lodges should be a safe haven where we come to enjoy the company of like-minded people who realize that there is a greater purpose. As we move forward, I will be seeking your guidance as to what we need to see in our lodges that will help us grow and fulfill the needs of our members as well as those less fortunate. It’s time to get out of our “comfort zone” and make things happen! You have a voice; I’m listening. Please feel free to e-mail me with your suggestions as to how WE can grow our membership and retain those we have. We’re on a mission, and it’s certainly worthwhile!
