November potluck and meeting to be held this Thursday, November 21st, at 6:30 p.m. It's the usual drill --bring your own tableware and drink, and a dish to pass. Short meeting follows the fellowship of the meal. We will also be holding our annual "Auction" fundraiser following the meeting... Bidding will take place on foodstuffs, and new or gently-used "White Elephant" items, the proceeds of which benefit club operations. C'mon down and enjoy the fun!

The GLCC is conducting its annual Avon Fundraiser between now and October 31st. Proceeds from the sales of products from the Campaign #24 Avon pamphlet will benefit the Club. There are many good Christmas items, along with regular items to stuff stockings with! If you'd like to see a book, let us know here, or call our resident Avon Lady, Helen Navarre, at 517-764-7653! Thanks!

Just an update on the potluck/meeting and next week's w**d treatment: Not enough people were available for a meeting tomorrow night, so we are looking at either the 24th or the 31st... will let you know!

We just heard from Steve of Professional Lake Management, and the first w**d treatment has been moved to Tuesday the 21st.

The Potluck dinner/meeting for May has just been scheduled for Friday the 17th. Time is 6:30 p.m. at the Clubhouse. Bring a dish to pass and table service for yourself. We always have plenty of delicious food! Meeting follows potluck.

We have also been notified that the first w**d treatment for the summer is scheduled for Monday, May 20th, weather permitting.

Finally, we'd like to offer our condolences to the Klos family on the loss of John Klos, who passed away last week. His death was originally suspected to be a drowning in the lake, but was found to have been the result of natural causes. God bless and comfort you!

Lovely day today... sun was finally shining, the temps were warm, and the winds were calm enough that some happy sailor in his strange little dinghy was happily cruising around the lake...

A VERY busy weekend here on the north end of the lake... There have been floats of migrating American coots, Canvasbacks, Ring-necked, Redheads, and Greater Scaups stopping to rest and feed on our little lake...

Are you enjoying this beautiful, sunny day at the lake? Hope so! Just wanted to remind everyone that the GLCC monthly potluck and meeting will be held this Friday, October 19th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Clubhouse. The special guest in attendance will be Steve Hanson from Professional Lake Management. PLM is the company that has contracted for the five-year w**d treatment program. If you have any questions or comments about the w**d program, please come to the meeting! We will start with the potluck, and then move on to listening to Steve, probably around 7:15. If you can't come to eat, come for the business portion of the evening!
