Today... Friday, June 14th from 11am until 1pm... and every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until July 12th... 3 locations... serving children up to 18 years of age... all meals must be eaten on site. Thank you City of Jackson!

We saved the... BIGGEST and BEST SHOUT-OUT OF ALL... FOR LAST...

Let's hear it for... CeCe Chrispin from WMS1 - Amazon of Jackson for everything she was able to accomplish at the Cereal for Summer FREE Children's Food Giveaway this past Saturday, June 8th at Voice of Calvary Ministries in Jackson, MS!

It was CeCe that came up with the idea for the Cereal for Summer FREE Children's Food Giveaway and it was CeCe that brought the idea to Barbara Thornton and all of the other amazing people at Voice of Calvary Ministries... THAT'S HOW THE MAGIC STARTED!!!

It took well over 3 months of hard work, drive, desire, determination and dedication to put this event together and she did it! This wasn't just a great event, it blew us all away and completely exceeded our expectations! CeCe didn't do it all alone, but she was the rock, the glue, the voice, the whole shebang and because of her, we really made a difference in the Jackson Community by giving out... 3000 boxes of cereal to 375 families!

On behalf of Cereal for Summer - Jackson, MS, Voice of Calvary Ministries and the Children of Jackson... THANK YOU CECE... much love and respect to you... NOW and ALWAYS!!!

Please share this with anyone who needs it!!! We are offering meals to kids.... ages 0-18 three days a week! There are three locations... but meals have to be eaten on site. Lets make sure NO CHILD goes hungry this summer!!!

One of the... BIGGEST SHOUT-OUTS... for the Cereal for Summer FREE Children's Food Giveaway at Voice of Calvary Ministries this past Saturday goes to... CeCe Chrispin, Jake Carlisle and Erick Morgan... from WMS1 - Amazon of Jackson!

CeCe, Jake and Erick are all Area Managers at WMS1 who pooled their resources and stretched their budgets to the limit to fund the Cereal for Summer FREE Children's Food Giveaway and make it all possible! They showed lots of love to the Jackson Community, so please join us in showing them some love back!

There are so many people to thank for making this... EPIC EVENT... SUCH A HUGE SUCCESS... including Barbara Thornton and Voice of Calvary Ministries, Carlos, George, Patrick with DynaKleen Business Systems LLC, Marques Slaughter with Molina Healthcare of Mississippi, Dawson, Leanne and Pam with First Commercial Bank, Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, Chris Gray Sr (Constituent Services Manager with the City of Jackson), Councilman Brian C. Grizzell, Ward 4, Councilman Vernon Hartley, Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, Assistant Chief Wendell Watts, Captain Julian Lonie and the entire Jackson Police Department, 16 WAPT News, Anthony Warren and WLBT 3 On Your Side, Garret Grove and WJTV 12 News, all of the anonymous people that donated cereal to the event, Refill Jackson Initiative, Alisa Hughes, Jalisa Hughes, Joya Hughes, Jayln Hughes, LaTonya and her crew of volunteers, Carolyn Denise and her group of volunteers, Heather, Bella and the rest of the Carlisle Family, Mike Mikola and so many other people... the list goes on and on and we apologize to those whose names we didn't mention. Speaking of volunteers, we had over 30 of them at the event!

And of course, let's not forget... Jake, Erick and CeCe from WMS1 - Amazon of Jackson who donated their time and sponsored this event with over $7000 towards cereal, advertising, supplies, lunch and so much more!!!

Thank you everyone... this truly was an event for the ages!!!

Voice of Calvary Ministries does so much for the Jackson Community and they were the perfect choice to be the host property for the Cereal for Summer FREE Children's Food Giveaway!

Miss Barbara Thornton who works at VOCM has a lot of experience in this type of event and that was a big help in making it run as smoothly as it did and being so successful!

We cannot thank Barbara, the staff and volunteers from VOCM enough for all of their hard work and dedication to the event!
