When talent and determination come together 😎💯

Zaila Avant-garde made history as the first African American winner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, triumphing over 208 contestants with the winning word "Murraya." The 14-year-old Louisiana native’s victory in the 2021 competition marked a groundbreaking moment in spelling bee history, as she became not only the first African American to win the title but also the first to claim the crown in more than 20 years. Zaila's achievement has been a source of inspiration, showing how talent, determination, and dedication can break barriers in ways that resonate far beyond the competition itself.
