We are a non-profit that is raising awareness of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) and providing care packages to families who suddenly lost a child. The Mackenzie Blair Foundation was founded after the loss of the founders’s daughter at 20 months of natural causes in December 2015. Mackenzie, their daughter’s name, fell under a category of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood, which i
s the second leading cause of childhood death under children 1-5, but had no national funding. The mission of the Mackenzie Blair Foundation is to raise awareness for SUDC as well as to support the SUDC Foundation as well as provide scholarships to local high school seniors. We are also sending care packages to any family who has suddenly lost a child within NJ at this time. The short term goal of the Mackenzie Blair Foundation is to partially or fully financially assist families with the funeral costs incurred by the sudden loss of their child. The Mackenzie Blair Foundation takes pride in being able to continue Mackenzie’s legacy by helping others and sharing her story. Mackenzie was not only a daughter, but a sister, a niece, a granddaughter, and also a friend. For more information and for ways to help visit www.thembfoundation.org today.
