Amador County Deputy Sheriff’s Association (ACDSA) Endorsement Announcement

The Amador County Deputy Sheriff’s Association is proud to announce our endorsement of Jamie Lubenko for Amador County Board of Supervisors – District 5.

On April 29, 2026, members of our association met with Jamie Lubenko to discuss her vision, priorities, and plans for the future of Amador County. Notably, she was the only candidate who took the initiative to reach out directly to our association to engage in this conversation. During this meeting, we were impressed by her thoughtful perspective and her willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue regarding the challenges facing our community.

Jamie made it clear that she is committed to supporting law enforcement and recognizes the vital role deputies play in maintaining the safety and well-being of our county.

In addition, Jamie expressed a desire to bring responsible economic growth and new opportunities to Amador County—an approach that aligns with our belief in strengthening both public safety and the long-term success of our community.

The ACDSA believes Jamie embodies a forward-thinking approach and leadership that encompasses a willingness to listen, collaborate, and advocate for the needs of Amador County residents.

This endorsement was made independently by the Association; Jamie did not request or solicit an endorsement.

On April 4th, Deputy Parker stopped by the Pine Grove Elementary School and discovered that there was a Jog-A-Thon event that day. Deputy Parker took it upon himself to not only make his presence known in the school by attending the event, but he took the time to interact with the children and ran several laps with different classes and age groups. While at the event, Deputy Parker assisted the staff and even helped out a couple of students who fell in the playground by getting them ice packs from the front office. The Amador County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the students at Pine Grove Elementary School and its staff for allowing Deputy Parker to participate in their event and Deputy Parker for his kindness and dedication to this community.

Good evening Amador. We come to you tonight asking for assistance for one of our Correctional Sergeants. Sergeant Holsten suffered a medical emergency and is currently hospitalized at UC San Francisco for what is expected to be at least several weeks. Sergeant Holsten is the sole provider for his family, which includes his wife, 4 children, and a grandchild. Sergeant Holsten's family is working to find the funds to be able to stay with him in San Francisco during this difficult time. If you have the means, please consider making a donation to his family. A link is attached with additional information. Although Sergeant Holsten is not in the DSA, we will also be making a contribution to assist his family in this challenging time. Please join us in wishing Sergeant Holsten a successful recovery.

Chris went to the ER with severe abdominal pain, vomiting and dizziness. The blood tests showed his pancreas levels were too high to register on testing. Chris’ liver was failing and he was admitted immediately to the ICU.

Today was a great day for the ACSO family. Deputy Recruits Jonathan Nunez and Austin Parker graduated from the peace officer academy. Sheriff Redman swore them in as Deputy Sheriffs at the office, surrounded by their family and the ACSO family. Welcome to the team and we look forward to watching your careers grow. Congratulations !!!!

Another great collaboration between agencies. As some of the CA state legislators continue to push towards getting rid of K9s, they need to realize they actually save lives giving us another less lethal option.
