Dear Friends & Community Partners,

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, with particular concern regarding potentially hazardous wind gusts, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Stewpot's 4th Annual World Homeless Day Community Fair, scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. As a fully outdoor gathering, the safety and well-being of everyone involved must remain our highest priority.

This decision was not made lightly. We recognize the time, effort, resources, and enthusiasm invested by our community partners, service providers, special guests, entertainers, volunteers, and staff. We are deeply grateful for your willingness to come together in support of our neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and continued commitment to the mission behind World Homeless Day. Your partnership remains invaluable, and we look forward to future opportunities to come together in service to our community.

With sincere appreciation,

Stewpot Community Services

Get into this!

Hey Family! We have been so busy that we've slipped on doing inventory. We have a critical need for razors, sugar PACKETS, creamer PODS and soap. When ordering from our Amazon Wishlist, items are shipped directly to the center and they usually get to us pretty fast. Please consider placing an order to ensure that we don't miss a beat when it comes to helping our unsheltered neighbors. We can't do our great works without you. Thank you in advance for your support!

Do you remember a few weeks back, I mentioned a basketball goal? Welp, get over here and look at this! In less than 30 minutes of that post, this really awesome guy caledl the center and said he was going to squeeze in picking one up in between depositions...Talk about an amazing human being and a willingness to be of service. A few hours later, I was blessed to give him a hug and a huge thanks on behalf of all of our ball players at Stewpot's Opportunity Center. Marshall, You and your team are awesome and we are grateful! (I'm not short, he's just really tall☺️).

Great day, Family. With the rise in temps, we've experience an increase in so many needs, including shower supplies. To reference, our daily shower numbers have increased from April, 160 to July's record high of 348 showers taken. That's 348 pieces of soap, not to mention what has gone in the toiletry bags we provide to guests. Because of this, we are currently in dire need of SOAP, deodorant and sugar packets.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us at 601-949-3540. Thank you in advance!

Please consider ordering from our Amazon wishlist at

Great day, FB family!
We’re seeking a replacement basketball goal. As you can see, our last one got plenty of use!

Btw, is anyone in need of cinder blocks. We’ve got a few more to spare (must pick up).

If anyone’s interested in donating a goal or taking advantage of the blocks, give us a call at 601-949-3540 or email [email protected].

How it started:
My friend Brent messaging, "Checking in to see if you know of any needs we can help with" and little did he know I've always got a list in my head. Within weeks, the logistics and supplies were secured and TA-DA!

Thank you Pinelake Church- Small Men's Group for your desire to be of service. This update was so meaningful and such an awesome surprise for our guests to walk into the next morning.
