At Jackson Interfaith Shelter, we believe that spiritual wellness is a core component of everything we do. Each Wednesday evening, Dinner Church brings people together around worship and a shared meal. Nine local churches partner with us to make these evenings possible, and we are so grateful for their faithful support and willingness to serve. Together, they help create a welcoming space where people can experience community.

And Dinner Church isn’t just for those staying at the shelter! Everyone in the community is welcome. Join us any Wednesday for dinner at 5:00 and then a brief church service at 5:30. We'd love to see you there ❤

This week, our Leadership Team held our first session with Next Level Nonprofit, beginning a year of leadership development and organizational growth for the shelter.

We’re grateful to have Ben as our coach throughout the year as we take time to look closely at how we lead, how we work together and how we can continue strengthening Jackson Interfaith Shelter for the future.

A special thank you to Christoff and Sons Floor Covering for the use of the Community Room, and for generously providing lunch from Virginia Coney Island. We are so grateful for the local businesses and community partners who support our work in so many different ways.

📣 Secretary of State Mobile Branch at the Shelter!

The Secretary of State will be at Jackson Interfaith Shelter tomorrow, and this service is open to anyone in the community who needs to take care of business with the Secretary of State.

You can complete the same types of services you would normally handle at a Secretary of State branch. Just bring any required documentation and payment for the service you need.

Thank you so much, MACI!

Helping our neighbors is one of the many ways MACI strives to make a positive impact in our community. We were proud to donate meat to Jackson Interfaith Shelter, supporting individuals and families in need throughout the Jackson area.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the young 4-H farmer whose hard work and dedication made this donation possible. 🎉 Help us wish Reaign a very happy 6th birthday!

We recently celebrated this sweet girl’s special day at the shelter, and we’re so glad we got to make her birthday a little extra special!

And of course, no birthday celebration is complete without a beautiful cake. We’re so thankful to the Birthday Lady for generously donating these special cakes and helping make birthdays at the shelter a little sweeter. 💕

You may have noticed recently our move-out posts have gotten an upgrade! When someone secures housing and moves out of the shelter, they are gifted with one of these homemade signs. Two of our supporters, Matt and Leslie, generously helped us make the signs and taught us how to add the vinyl. We love that we can now add this extra special touch when celebrating someone's success. Thank you Matt and Leslie!
