A blast from the past. Kevin Wright sent me this article earlier from a 1991 issue of the Jackson Area Plectral Society. Brought back a lot of old memories. We were just beginning to develop our charter @ the time. Folks didn’t really understand the purpose of the club. Marjorie Richard, always the prolific writer, put pen to paper and published the best description of what we hoped to become below.
Although the Plectral Society has pretty much dissolved and retired from its original intent. I do still keep the charter up and occasionally do events that fit with the original purpose. James David Bullington
October 28, 1945 - May 10, 2026
Atwood Class of 1963
James David Bullington, age 80 of Lavinia, passed away at his home on May 10, 2026. He was born to the late Roosevelt Knox Bullington and Daisy Nell Cox Bullington on October 28, 1945, in Cedar Grove.
James was a retired electrician. He was a long-time IBEW member. James was Baptist by faith. He was also a long-time member of the local Masonic Lodge.
James is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Bullington of Lavinia; son, Marshall Eubanks of Huntingdon; daughter, Samantha McElhaney of Hot Springs, AR; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, James is preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Bullington; daughter, Lorie Ann Crowe; and two sisters, Patsy Ann Bray and Jackie Smith.

The family will have a memorial graveside service at a later date.
