Yesterday, we welcomed adults 55+ to The Bean Path for our OATS Open House, bringing our community together to connect, explore upcoming classes, and discover new opportunities to learn and grow!
From introducing our new OATS Alumni Club to sharing what’s next for the program, we’re excited to continue creating spaces where older adults can build digital skills, meaningful connections, and confidence with technology.

At our AI Hackathon, participants came together to identify real-world challenges, explore opportunities, and develop innovative solutions using artificial intelligence. Each group recognized a gap in everyday life and took steps toward bridging it through technology.

That same spirit drives our mission at The Bean Path. Just as we work to bridge the digital divide, these innovators are discovering how technology can break down barriers, expand access, and create new pathways for our communities.

From Jackson to communities across Mississippi, we're building a future where innovation is accessible, ideas have room to grow, and people have the tools to turn possibilities into progress.

Because when we connect people to possibilities, we create pathways for everyone. 🚀

Last night's Family STEAM Night & Youth Robotics Scrimmage brought families, young innovators, and community partners together for an evening of hands-on learning, creativity, and discovery.

From exploring new technologies to putting their problem-solving skills to the test, our young participants showed us what's possible when curiosity meets opportunity.

As we celebrate 8 years of The Bean Path, we're continuing to invest in the people, pathways, and possibilities that help Central Jackson learn, create, and thrive.

And we're just getting started! 🚀

Last night, our Makerspace was filled with young innovators and families coming together to explore, create, and learn at our Family STEAM Night + Youth Robotics Scrimmage!

From hands-on activities to moments of discovery, it was exciting to see the next generation of thinkers, makers, and problem-solvers in action.

A huge thank you to every family, participant, and community partner who joined us and helped make the evening special! 🧡

Jackson, we’re celebrating eight years with a major milestone! 🎉 The Bean Path has secured over $1 MILLION in funding to expand our workforce programs and help more Mississippians build their future in technology.

Through Pathways to Tech, this support will help connect more people to hands-on training, industry-recognized certifications, career coaching, and employment opportunities. Whether you’re entering the workforce, changing careers, or building on the skills you already have, we’re working to make those next steps more accessible. 💚

Thank you to CodeCrew, Taste of the South, and the Skills Foundation of Mississippi for helping us expand this work and invest in the people who make our communities stronger.

Join us TONIGHT for Family STEAM Night + Youth Robotics Scrimmage during The Bean Path’s 8th Anniversary Week! This free, hands-on evening is designed for all ages to explore, create, and have fun with STEAM.

Cheer on our youth robotics teams during a live scrimmage, then jump into interactive activities that give young innovators—and the whole family—a chance to learn, build, and explore together.
