Operation Hope Ministries Operation Hope Ministries is a faith-based non-profit that enhances the lives of families through supports such as childcare, food, & beyond.

Operation Hope Ministries began as a faith-based after-school program and all-day summer camp for children in the community, to offer a positive and life-giving environment to them, and support to their parents. Hope has served in the Jackson, Madison County community for over 27 years. Operation Hope Ministries has always provided a safe place where children could come and receive a snack and hel

p with their homework, learn important character-building and life-skills lessons, prepare for the future, and simply just have time to be a child. Monday through Friday, Hope works with children and enables parents to feel a sense of security in knowing their kids are safe and not alone, which allows them to take care of their family by going to work, to provide for them. Recently, Hope has expanded its' ability to provide further support and resources to families, through food distribution and with other donated items. This has been helpful to families in off-setting the cost of groceries and to tackle the problem of economic struggle and hunger within family units in Jackson, TN. Operation Hope Ministries operates along with The Hope Center of Jackson. The Hope Center of Jackson's mission has always been to B.L.E.S.S. (BELIEVE, LOVE, ENCOURAGE, STRENGTHEN AND SERVE) those within our walls and also the community in any way we can, to provide HOPE to seemingly hopeless situations. We desire to see lives changed and to always be a beacon of HOPE to those living in Jackson, TN and beyond.

Week 3 in the books

This week our focus has been Joseph
“With God’s Help!”

The lessons have told about Joseph and his coat of many colors 🎨 and different obstacles in his life
The art work has been designing (coloring) clothes/shoes and making a coat out of colorful fabric
Science experiment of making play dough and Spa Day for the older girls which included facials and painting nails 💅 then snacks 🍿 and a movie 🎥
This week the younger classes also got to attend vacation Bible School @ First
Cumberland Presbyterian Church with songs, lessons, crafts, games, snacks, and object lessons
A male/female Joseph with their coat of many colors was chosen for listening, interacting, and participating

This week our focus has been David

Our theme for this summer is
“With God’s Help!”
The lessons have told about when he fought the lion 🦁 and the bear 🐻 to protect his sheep 🐑 and fought Goliath 🤺 to save the Israelites
The art work has been building fences for their sheep (balloons) to be hearded into, lions faces, and many other ways to express the stories
They were able to DO like David done by practicing using a slingshot
A male/female King David was crowned for listening to the stories, participating, and knowing the most when asked about what they had learned
