This Saturday, May 15th the UC Master Gardeners of Amador County are hosting a class on backyard composting. The class will be held at the C&C Ranch 1334 Jackson Gate Road, Jackson CA from 9am-11am. Headed to Sacramento for Sierra Day.

Days like this are a good reminder that the work we do out here in the foothills connects all the way to the Capitol. The Sierra provides most of California’s water, supports incredible biodiversity, and is on the front lines of wildfire risk.

I’ll be meeting with legislators to share what we’re seeing on the ground where conservation is working, where it’s getting stuck, and how we can move faster and smarter.

We’ve got real projects ready to go. Now it’s about making sure the system helps us get them done.
