is the umbrella company of Valor Academy which is a component offering art, music, theatrical appreciation and other educational programs to youth from kindergarten to twelfth grade. Educational empowerment will help children prepare for standardized testing and embrace the concept of all forms of cultural art learning of primitive and modernized art variations through a variety of opportunities.
Valor Academy was founded in early 2015 engaging students during summer camp activities to embrace the arts. Valor Academy also follows our kids into the school year engaging with them on their academic levels with peer and mentor teachers. We had a productive 2014-2015 school year providing services and now our continued goal is to introduce youth to other art opportunities such as historical museums' and galleries, Broadway plays on a national horizon as well as local level stage/theatrical plays, and musical concert's. Our belief is that by introducing youth to more art programs they will do better on standardized testing such as the ACT, SAT, GRE and prepare them for top colleges and universities' in the nation. Eventually, these same youth will participate in test such as the GMAT, LSAT, MAT and other career preparation exams. Art comes in many forms of expressions and with school cuts there have been drawbacks in our community to receive the production of literature, painting, music and dance that our kids may not have access too. With the approved funding our goal is incorporate field trips to the Arts of Tennessee learning Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Literary Arts and Festivals. We have guest artist who will come in and teach art appreciation, music, pottery and other forms of art. Although we are the majority of African American we are a diverse organization and any child who meets the grade/age criteria is welcomed to attend regardless of ADA disabilities and provisions will be made for accessibility.
