JMAC Sorors put on our work gloves and joined Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build to help make homeownership a reality for a family in the Greater Jackson, MS area.

🔺Member Highlight: Shana S. Harper!🔺

Congratulations to Shana S. Harper, MSSW, recently appointed as Alliance Representative for the Postpartum Support International Mississippi Chapter.

As a clinical social worker, educator, researcher, entrepreneur, and PhD Candidate at Jackson State University, Soror Harper brings more than 19 years of experience supporting children and families navigating trauma.

This well-deserved recognition reflects her heart for service and unwavering commitment to Black maternal health, early childhood mental health, intimate partner violence awareness, and addressing health disparities. Her work continues to create space for healing, advocacy, and access to care for communities that need it most.

Through her roles at Jackson State University and Be Undefeated, Soror Harper continues to expand access to quality mental health care. We are proud to celebrate this meaningful milestone and the lasting impact she continues to make!
