Information for residents with ongoing power outage concerns:

If you’ve already contacted your electric provider and still have questions or concerns about how the outage response is being handled, there are state-level oversight options available.

The attached flyer outlines how to contact the Mississippi Public Service Commission (MPSC), which reviews concerns related to power restoration, safety, access, and related response issues.

Additional information is included in the comments to help identify the appropriate MPSC Commissioner by district, including a QR code that allows residents to look this up by county.

These materials are intended for general community awareness and sharing.

ℹ️ Some additional information for our neighbors navigating power outages in Tallahatchie County — PLEASE SHARE

During this ice storm, some power outages may not be reported or routed correctly because different electric companies serve different parts of the county.

If your power is out, it’s important to contact the provider that serves your area so the outage can be recorded — and we’ll continue working to identify coverage and share updates as information becomes available.

Electric providers serving Tallahatchie County include:
• Entergy Mississippi
• Delta Electric Power Association
• Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association (TVEPA)
• Coahoma Electric Power Association

📞 Outage reporting numbers:
• Entergy MS: 1-800-9OUTAGE (1-800-968-8243)
• TVEPA: (662) 563-4742
• Delta Electric: (662) 453-6121
• Coahoma Electric: (662) 624-8321

If you’re unsure which provider serves your address, call the number you believe applies — they can help route you correctly.

We’re sharing this to help neighbors navigate a confusing system during an emergency. We’ll keep researching and updating as we confirm more details.

🚨 THEY MAY NOT KNOW 🚨

During this ice storm, power outages are not always reported automatically.
If your lights are out, do not assume the power company already knows.

📞 Calling matters.
It creates a record of the outage and helps ensure your area is officially counted — especially in rural and hard-to-reach communities.

Tallahatchie County residents:
If your power is out, contact Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association (TVEPA)

📱 Call: (662) 563-4742
💻 Report online:
https://www.outageentry.com/Outage/outage.php?Client=TALLAHATCHIE&serviceIndex=1&openingPage=report

Report it even if you think someone else already has.

This is about safety. Cold + no power can turn dangerous fast.
Please share this so it reaches neighbors who may not see it otherwise.

**Across Mississippi, many areas are served by more than one power provider. - We’ll continue sharing updates as coverage is confirmed. **
