We are so proud of Jaylee. Caisie, one of our supervisors of our Early Intervention program, has done outstanding work supporting Jaylee's family while they receive home developmental therapy through TLC. Then we also get to witness her miracle life shine every time she rides her bike down our clinic halls during physical therapy talking to everyone being the unofficial "TLC Greeter." 😉

@ TLC we don’t just lunch, we FIESTA!! 🪅 🌮 And that’s because these are NACHO average employees - they are the BEST of the best!

It’s a good day we can get about 80 of our 130 Therapy & Learning Center staff together for a meal. 🥰 We missed those that were faithfully working in schools & homes in counties all over West Tennessee!

What is Speech Therapy?
Child Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) assess, diagnose, and treat communication, language, and feeding disorders in children from birth through adolescence. They help children improve verbal and non-verbal skills—such as articulation, stuttering, and comprehension—through play-based therapy. They support and strengthen children with difficulty pronouncing sounds or stuttering, delayed speech or limited vocabulary for their age, trouble in understanding or following instructions, and difficulty with chewing or swallowing.

Caregivers learn tried & true techniques to combat & calm behaviors in the meeting room while kids have a BLAST playing in the gym! Provided by the Therapy & Learning Center. (Adults do not have to bring a child with them to attend session.)

Guest Speaker: Margaret Radloff M.Ed., BCBA, LBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with extensive experience in early intervention and autism from 18 months to 17 years old. She has training in the ADOS-2 and functional behavioral assessments, with a strong background in evidence-based intervention and clinical decision making. She was the Assistant Director of Behavior Services in Old Town, Alexandria VA Applied Behavior Analysis clinic before recently moving to Jackson, TN. Het talk will focus on understanding behavior, building skills, and using practical strategies at home -- starting today!

The Therapy & Learning Center was chosen as the West Tennessee Healthcare "BE THE GOOD" highlight story for March. This story was shared at last evening’s monthly WTH Board of Directors meeting, the WTH Department Directors meeting as well as throughout media outlets in West Tennessee.

We always say that if you have never walked alongside a child with special needs or developmental delays you may not even know we exist over on Garland Drive in Jackson, and in 54 schools and hundred of homes in West Tennessee, but if you have then hopefully you know high quality care and heartfelt compassion is here for you each step of the way.

👏👏Union University Engineering Department is 100% TLC approved!!! 👏👏We are always so grateful for their support and constant encouragement of our TLC kids and teenagers!
