This morning we went on a short safari ride and saw lots of beautiful African animals. Afterwards we helped collect chickens and built coops to house them. We are giving the coops and chickens to families in need that will use them to make money and also for food. We added to the excitement by having a chicken coop contest. It was so much fun and we all loved working together to help others! Tonight was Zulu night and we got to learn more about the Zulu culture through amazing food, cultural discussions and dance! It was an awesome day of service and learning!

Sunday started with a worship service in three different languages. We were able to sing, pray and learn the Word of God with people from several different cultures. It was such a beautiful representation of how our eternal worship will be in heaven! Then we did a little local shopping and touring and took the afternoon to rest a bit and prepare supplies to be ready for the rest of the week. It’s been such a special time and we are so thankful to be able to be able to share this with our South African friends.

Starting every morning studying the word of God and praying together has helped us keep our focus and get ready for the day! Today after our devotion time, we delivered food to some orphans and spent some time loving on and praying with them. Then we climbed as high as we could go to look over and pray for the community. Most of our afternoon was spent hosting a youth event where we had 350+ attend. We learned about scripture, worshipped together and spent time getting to know each other. It was another blessed day!!

We are exhausted from all of the hard work but had another wonderful day! We setup jojo tanks for areas that desperately need water (on steep hills in the mud), helped move cement block for the new bathrooms we are installing at the school, visited and played with kids at another school, walked around the community praying for families, attended the teen Bible group, did home visits where we were able to pray with families, and after all of that, learned about Afrikaans culture and ate a delicious potjiecos. ❤️Can’t wait for tomorrow’s adventures.
