If you have experienced time in foster care, you may be eligible for the Education & Training Voucher (ETV) Program—a resource that helps pay for college, trade school, or career training expenses.
You may qualify if you:
✅ Were in foster care due to abuse or neglect on or after your 14th birthday.
✅ Were a juvenile justice youth placed in a DHHS-supervised foster care placement.
✅ Were an unaccompanied refugee minor supervised by DHHS.
✅ Were adopted from foster care on or after your 16th birthday.
✅ Have a high school diploma or GED.
✅ Attend an accredited college, university, trade school, or vocational program at least half-time.
Keep these important requirements in mind:
🎓 You must receive your first ETV before your 21st birthday.
📚 Once awarded, you may remain eligible until your 26th birthday (up to five years), as long as you:
• Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
• Have no more than one incomplete or withdrawal per semester
