This spring, students across Mississippi made a powerful decision: choosing careers that keep our state running!
Through Skills That Pay signing ceremonies held across Northeast, Central, and South Mississippi, more than 40 students were recognized for committing to high-demand skilled career pathways in industries like construction, manufacturing, utilities, energy, and welding.
From Itawamba Community College to Hinds Community College and Pearl River Community College, students, educators, industry leaders, and communities came together to celebrate the next generation of Mississippi’s workforce.
This signing season reflected the continued growth of Skills That Pay, with larger ceremonies, expanded regional participation, and inspiring student stories that highlight the momentum behind skilled careers across our state.
Congratulations to every student who took this next step toward a career that pays — and powers Mississippi’s future!
