The firefighters from the Community Volunteer Fire Department of Canoe is always learning different ways to improve their skill as a firefighter and keep their community safe. On July 23rd, Instructor Jacob Spencer taught them several ways to forcefully enter a house. Thanks for the training and Keep up the good work firefighters!

The Community Volunteer Fire Department of Canoe provided another valuable resource for their Community. Narcan training was sponsored by Ky-ASAP (Karen Griffith) and trained by Jamie Mullins Smith from the Ky River Region Prevention Center on Thursday, July 23rd. The State Opioid Response team started in 2018 and their goal is to put Narcan in the hands of the ones who is usually first on the scene: First Responsers! However, they have found out the citizens of each community is a big help! With approximately 25 citizens and firefighters in attendance, they received this valuable training and Narcan! Thanks to all who attended.
