Yay! Our food pantry is a little more stocked thanks to the very good folks at Compassionate Ministries.

But we could use a little more.

Our current food wishlist:
Peanut butter
Spaghetti sauce
Chicken noodle soup
Microwaveable shelf-stable meals

And whatever food your teenager will eat. 🙂

Food donations can be brought to the Welcome Center during school hours.

Wow. Just wow.

Taking a pause in unpacking and sorting to say THANK YOU!!

A FoC (friend of the Closet) came through for us in such a big way! The biggest heart in Jackson just might be in one of the smallest food trucks— Jen of FFF TRUCK put together a drive for us and recruited her fellow food truck pals. Today she and the good folks of EEE food truck delivered two SUVs of school supplies, clothes, shoes, hygiene items, and snacks… and then circled back around with a rack(!) and filled it with formal dresses!

Don’t EVER doubt that we live in a generous community of people who truly care about our students.

Thank you, Jen, particularly, but to all those that donated to their drive. We are very, very grateful.

As one student put it, “oooh! Tomorrow is going to be a good day in the closet, isn’t it!?” Yes, indeed.

We are so grateful for the lovely donation from the Women Empowerment (WE) group at Gerdau North America.

The school year has only hours left in it-- but we've been encouraging our students to take what they need for the summer months-- so the donation of toiletries was very helpful.

Thank you, IBEW Local 252 and James Johnson Jr.— your donation this month is so appreciated. The shoes barely hit the shelf before they were gone and the t-shirts have been a big hit.
