Wyoming Immigrant Advocacy Project is hiring a Legal Assistant to help keep our
immigrant legal aid program running. This is a frontline role supporting immigrants

We are heartbroken and horrified by the shooting of a rapid responder during an ICE raid in Minnesota yesterday. Immigration enforcement that relies on fear, force, and militarization inevitably puts lives at risk. We reject a system that treats immigrants and those who defend them as disposable.

Rapid responders are unarmed members of the public who bear witness, document state action, and help safeguard the rights of those targeted by enforcement. They serve a critical role in holding government officials accountable, and attacks on them undermine both community safety and the rule of law. WIAP stands with Minneapolis and all those around the country working to defend communities and uphold dignity in the face of violence.

Under section 287(g) of the U.S. immigration laws, local police or sheriffs can enter into agreements with ICE that allow them to carry out immigration enforcement that they normally cannot do.

In 287(g) jurisdictions racial profiling is more likely to happen because 287(g) designated officers have been granted more power and encouraged to target immigrant communities.

NUEVAS TARIFAS: Ahora se requiere un pago de $1,000 en el puerto de entrada para cualquier persona que ingrese a los EE. UU. con libertad condicional, con ciertas excepciones.

NEW FEES: $1,000 is now due at the port of entry for anyone entering the U.S. with parole, subject to certain exceptions.
